Authors’ Note: Hello, Guys! This is your Neha-17 here. This is the first time, I am writing an OS related to my friend and IB. I hope you all like this. This is a special birthday gift OS for my dear friend Somya. Enjoy reading!

It was early in the morning; a girl filled with many hopes was restless. Her mind was racing with few thoughts. So, she decided to go for a jog/walk. She wondered maybe the serenity of the surrounding will make her feel ease. This girl is Somya. She did tighten her shoe laces and left the home.
There she came across a beautiful lake. The lake was surrounded with lush in spite of city’s mundane life. The breeze blowing carried aroma of fresh water. She decided to observe this enchanted view for some time. Then within no time she went into her thoughts.
Somya POV:
This city is new for me; it’s always busy with hustle bustle. I hail from a small town and my parents made a decision to shift me here, so that my academic becomes strong. I am leaving with my relatives, they are very supportive. My parents love me so much and always provide me with best. I felt bad leaving my childhood friends. Sometimes, tough decision are taken for betterment of future. Now, maybe I will be alone here. Will, I make new friends? Will this never sleeping city accept me?

There she noticed a familiar figure which she had seen on TV. She turned a bit, so that the lady’s face is visible. Yes, it’s none other than Anika (Surbhi Chandna- Chandu) from her favourite TV show Ishqbaaz and Dil Bole Oberoi. She had a surprised expression, to watch her favourite TV star, personally. On TV she is always outstanding, but in real life the too, without make-up, she was looking beautiful. Somya was excited now; she had an urge to meet her. But, she also felt, not to disturb Anika’s thoughts as she was engrossed in something. Somya’s mind was in a debate whether to meet her or not. Now, sunrise was visible. The golden orange colour
was filled in sky. It looked great.Suddenly, she noticed Anika was leaving. Soumya thought it’s a life time opportunity so she should approach her.
Somya went near her and said-
Excuse me Anika, I mean Surbhi ma’am.
Anika- Yes.
Somya- I can’t believe, maybe it’s my dream. I am meeting you at the lake side in Powai. Hello ma’am. Good morning!
Anika: Haha, yes it’s totally tadibaaz Anika in front of you. Good morning dear. I do come her at times. Actually, I am running behind my schedule today. Should we meet tomorrow here at 5:15 a.m? I hope you don’t mind.
Somya: Yes, ma’am sure. No problem.
Then Anika started to leave and Somya was smiling magnetically. She could believe her luck. But Anika turned……
Anika: Sorry for brief meet. What’s your name?
Somya: That’s totally fine ma’am. I am Somya.
Anika: Good day, Somya bye.
Somya: Same to you.
Somya returned home. Her mood was perfectly alright, also she was determined today. She went to college and met one of her senior Neha di. They had become friends in college in no time as their root were from the same town. Somya could not contain her happiness and shared the mornings incidence with her Neha di. Even Neha’s joy knew no bounds as die was also die hard fan of Anika and Shivaay from Ishqbaaz. Somya was worried will Anika come next day or not. Neha told her to have patience and in the break they were discussing the current track of Ishqbaaz.
Next day, Somya reached around 5:05 a.m. She had no idea what what will she talk with extremely talented Anika as she herself is a simple person. Another, fifteen minutes, but no sign of her. She felt bad, and started glancing at surroundings. But, then suddenly someone tapped her shoulder.
Somya: Surbhi ma’am. Hello, and a very good morning. Can I call you Anika? I love your name a lot. Thanks for coming.
Anika: Sure, Anika is my favourite character. Good morning dear. You thought I won’t come?
Somya: Maybe you might be busy, so.
Anika: Even, I wasn’t sure, I will reach on time or not. Sorry for being late.
Somya: Ma’am please don’t be Sorry. Please!
Anika: Okay! But, why are you here in the morning at the lakeside?
Somya: In my hometown, I was an early riser. Morning walk gives rejuvenates me. I feel at peace, amidst the nature.
Anika: Same, even I feel like a child in nature’s lap.
Somya: But ma’am this point of time?
Anika: Yes, to start a new day fresh. After 10-12 hours shoot, I don’t have that much energy to visit her. Also, this point of time so early in the morning few people are out of home. In night, many don’t recognise me. So, I enjoyed bit privateness. Or, else being a celebrity at times outings becomes difficult
Somya: Ohh! Sorry ma’am if I have disturbed you.
Anika: Aree, its totally fine. I had noticed you yesterday even you were lost in train of thoughts like mine.
Somya: Ya, actually I was missing my parents. I am here living with my relatives for education.
Anika: Oh! That’s nice. Mumbai city is good hub for education. Very few people know, even I am a MBA graduate and have worked as an employee too.
Oh! It’s almost sunrise. Chalo bye, got to go. I have my exercise and Jumba workout. Haven’t you noticed, I have shed few kilo’s of the show. She gave a wink.
(Note: Indeed! In one of off-screen interviews, Anika had mentioned, she had started Jumba training.)
Somya: Sure ma’am. Thanks a lot! I haven’t met a celebrity but you are gem of a person. The time which you gave me while walking is one of the best of my life. Really, you are down to earth so friendly and talkative like me. Now, I am fond of you again. Never had I imagined real Anika will be like this. This I am saying from my heart.Thanks,again for coming.
Anika: Hey, sweetie thanks to you too. Even, I had a great time. Have a nice day! Bye.
Then she left with the Shivaay’s usual hair step where he runs his hand from hairs with tadi and style.
Somya had found new friend in Anika. They used to meet for 1-2days in the morning, in a week. Anika liked her company and discuss things at lengths. Somya had briefly told her life’s journey. They had become good friends. Even, Anika loved Somya as she was true to herself and is a genuine person. They used to talk a lot. Somya had also introduced Neha Di to Anika. Neha came to visit them twice in the morning, as this place wasn’t that easily accessible to come. Anika also liked their friendship.
One day, Neha told Somya to bunk few lectures and come with her. She was taking her to a new place and told she has work and no one to accompany. Finally, they reached Madh Island to Ishqbaaz sets where actual shooting is done. Somya wasn’t aware and they went inside showing ID and permission letter. Somya was still clueless.They were sitting in a waiting room for a while. Also, they could her few noises.
Somya: Where are we di? What’s your work?
Neha: Hold on, you will come to know.
Then out of somewhere someone shouted surprise and Anika and Shivaay came into the room. Somya had a jaw dropping expression on her face. Now, she understood the situation. “Happy birthday Somya”, all of them said in unison. She had really forgotten this time that it was her birthday. She was totally shocked and overwhelmed with happiness. Soon, few of her friends Sumitha, Jerry(Vedika) and Sanskriti joined. They did cut the cake and presented few gifts to birthday girl along with birthday bombs. The gang also interacted with few actors like Pinky, Dadi, Jhanvi and Tej. All were shocked with real soft nature of Pinky. Truely, real and reel is altogether a different world. Others were busy shooting DBO on another set. IB members were also happy with the celebration and meeting Anika’s little friend. They all gave her heartily wishes. After the set visit, they went to one of Somya’s favourite restaurant. The gang munched on Italian and Indian food.
While returning, Somya gave a sweet hug to Neha. Her eyes were moist.
Somya: Thanks, Di. I love you a lot. Today’s, I felt special and cherished all the moments. This is the best day, and thanks again for giving me a never ending smile on my face.
Neha: Di and thanks? Dear, you have always been there for me. Even, I had fun, arranging and spending time with you. Love you too! Also, special thanks to Anika for making this visit possible, without her I couldn’t have done this.
Somya: Ya, I will thank Anika, personally. You both are the best.
Neha: Come on, you should go home now; another surprise is there for you. My, best wishes will always with you.
Somya went home, and her parents had come to meet their intelligent daughter. Also, they had great celebration at home too. At night, Somya slept with delight and was looking blissful. Surely, she will have an amazing life ahead.
