Ankit Gera, who recently returned to acting after a gap of almost three years has been roped in for Mollki opposite Priyal Mahajan. Ankit was last seen in a cameo role in Choti Sarrdaarni, is all set to join the cast of Molkki. With Priyal Mahajan and Amar Upadhyay as the lead couple, the show is all set to go in for a time leap.
According to a source, “Before the leap, Purvi will meet with an accident and land up at Daksh’s home in Delhi. He is an affluent businessman and a gentleman. Daksh and his family will look after Purvi. Soon, the two will develop a liking for each other. His entry will result in a love triangle.”
Ankit talked about his role in an interview with BT and shared, “It is challenging for an actor to enter a show midway and establish a connection with viewers, who are already used to watching a set of actors. But the advantage is that it’s an ongoing show and already being watched by the audience. I don’t have to wait for things to pick up. I can just start my work and get back on air.”
When asked about his prep for the role he replies, “I just want to go with the flow. I am not coming with a plan, and nothing is fixed or decided. Let’s see what luck has in store for me this time.”
The actor who moved back to his hometown, Delhi, is all set to move back to Mumbai but this time with his wife. Ankit tied the knot with Rashi Puri, an NRI from Nigeria, on June 5. He says, “I am preparing to leave Delhi, which is challenging. I will be leaving my family for work again. But this time I am coming to Mumbai with my wife, Rashi, so I am at ease. I am bringing my family with me in a way (smiles).”
