Anu Malik Heralds a Quest for Originality in the New Season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’
Renowned music composer and primary judge, Anu Malik, expressed his enthusiasm for the innovative concept of the latest season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ in a recent interview. He revealed, “This is the first time on a singing reality show that the creative team has introduced the brilliant idea of launching an original singer. Contestants will be given an original song composed by renowned producers, resulting in the singers being launched while the show is ongoing.”
Anu Malik considers himself fortunate to be associated with the iconic ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa,’ which has garnered global recognition. He highlighted how the show serves as a global launch pad for new singers, providing them with a concrete future roadmap. The unexpected shift in focus, according to Anu, is a promising venture aimed at discovering an original voice. This change will empower contestants by alleviating the pressure of recreating existing songs or living up to the standards set by veteran singers.
Elaborating on this shift in approach, he stated, “We did not want to burden the contestants by forcing them to imitate veteran singers. This approach resonated well with the young singers, as they did not feel the weight of comparison to these great artists, which is fair. Each individual possesses their own magic, and in this season, we are on a quest for the magic of originality.”
The judging panel, featuring the celebrated composer-songwriter Anu Malik, also includes prominent singers Himesh Reshammiya, Neeti Mohan, and Aditya Narayan.
