Anupama 7th January 2022 Written Episode, Written Update on TellyUpdates.com
Anuj searches Anupama and Malvika and find them playing hopscotch game in office’s parking lot. They joke when he questions her and then reveal they are competing. Anuj thinks even he wants to play, but doesn’t want his photo in newspaper’s front page playing hopscotch tomorrow. Anu wins. Malvika says she can ask anything now. Anu says a simple thing. Malvika says if she had won, she had asked her to marry Anuj. Anuj thinks why didn’t she win then. Anu asks her to attend new year party. On the other side, Samar walks to Nandini and Kavya and says he came to invite for new year party, but seeing a bonfire already here. He thanks Kavya for setting up fire. Kavya says he is mistaken. Nandini says maasi is concerned. Samar says she is talking about breaking their house. Nandini says even mummy is staying away from family. Samar says helplessly. Nandini says mummy is happy now, he should understand that maasi is feeling lonely after Malvika’s entry and Anu aunty is not doing anything regarding that. Samar asks her not to drag mummy in it and not to forget that Malvika is Anuj’s sister who saved his life, protected him from jail, protected her from Rohan, saved their dance academy, and the house which they are talking about is because of Anuj’s favor or else they would have been on road because of Rakhi’s evilness; why can’t they keep Anuj’s sister for 2 days in their house, Malvika is important for Mr. Shah’s career, she will go away in 3-4 days; if Kavya is concerned about the fights at house, its the people who are fighting and not walls and doors and if they change themselves, everything will be fine.
Nandini says point here is Maasi’s husband’s colleague is staying at their house. Samar asks if she didn’t think about it when Kavya used to visit their house daily and stayed in their house after fighting with Anirudh, Kavya’s birthday cake was cut on mummy’s birthday and nobody thought then how insecure mummy was feeling; he is not favoring both situations, but she has to reap what she sow. Nandini asks him not to speak to maasi like this as she is already in problem. He says he is not and Kavya’s problems will not lessen if she tries to increase other’s problems, so she should focus on her life and problem, she can throw new year party but stop trying to ruin other’s lives. He finally warns Nandini that if she thinks her maasi is troubled in that house, she has a choice to marry him and come to that or cancel their alliance.
Anu tells Malvika that some incidents are not easily forgettable, even she faced such an incident, she saw Kavya and Mr Shah on her bed on her 25th wedding anniversary, its an unforgettable event in her life where her she saw her husband with another woman; one has to move on and cannot be stuck in that one moment; she doesn’t know what happened in Malvika’s life, but she has to learn to bear the pain and move on; they can learn to smile and leave the pain behind, etc. Malvika gets convinced with her long moral gyaan.
Shahs get ready for new year party and plan a game. Baa says their new year used to start early morning, but new generation parties whole night on 31st and sleep till 10 a.m. on 1st. Vanraj brings gifts for all. Pakhi says its already 10 p.m. and Anuj, Anupama, and GK must be coming. Kinjal says GK has gone to Dwarka to watch new year’s sunrise. Kavya says even Malvika is not coming. Malvika walks to Anu and Anuj wearing gown. Anuj thinking she will not attend party says he will stay back with Mukku. Malvika removes her gown revealing her party dress and says she fooled them and will attend party. Anuj feels happy. Malvika goes in to get ready properly. Anuj gets romantic and offers a flower to Anu. Their eyes lock. Aye Mere Humsafar.. song plays in the background. Malvika returns and alerts them. Anu keeps flower in her bag silently and then gives party gifts to them. Anuj senses Malvika’s panicked faced and comforts her holding her hand.
Shahs play game and wait for Anu to come and cut cake. Pakhi says mummy will gift her handmade gift like every year. Kinjal asks why is mummy late. Kavya says because of Malvika. Malvika panics seeing a neighbor fighting with his wife and running behind her to hit her. Neighbor’s family interferes and takes them in. Anu asks woman if she is fine and gives moral gyaan that its shameful that even rich family girls face domestic violence. Anuj gets tensed seeing Malvika getting a panic attack and shivering sitting in a corner.
Precap: Anuj notices Malvika’s depression medicines. Anu tries to comfort panicked Malvika and asks what happened that night. Anuj says he is responsible for Mukku’s condition as he got her married to a beast.

@all the haters,
Dont start giving your logical gyan with long long lectures and dont spread negativity.
Makers know better than you guys so they don’t need your suggestions.
This is a fictional show sondont expect reality!
If you dont like the storyline or the characters just avoid it and don’t come to this page.
“Jealousy haa no cure” š
lovers – keep loving all the different opinions.
@Hello if andh bhakts like yourself, cannot handle criticism and opinions of others then you need to find better things to do other than attacking the commentators. Maybe thats the only cure for your jealousy.š¤£ This is a fictional show and not a cartoon where illogical things happen āall the timeā magically out of the blue.
Two things abt the episode:
1. The writers realised that pain doesnāt vanish and they made anupama and malvika to remember them again ā¦. Good relatable portions
2. What a bhayankar precapā¦.!!!! Excited to watch further.. how they deal
With thisā¦ !!!
@Anu true the writers love to give unlimited pain to the lead characters and every good character that enters the show. I just hope they donāt make malvika a villain as we already have Baa and Kaavya. Aneri is sweet. Same Iām just waiting for tomorrowās episode seeing this prevail
I know people are saying that this show is getting dragged and all. Yes, it is getting dragged and the main focus from anupama’s success has been taken away. But remember, this show is not just about Anupama’s journey, it’s even about women empowerment. This show has already addressed many social issues like male dominance, patriarchy, s*xual harrasment, molestation, stalking, how a girl is not accepted just because she cannot become a mother, how Bahu and daughters are treated differently, how men can have female frnds but women cannot have a male frnd, divorce and many such issues where women are being oppressed and controlled. Now the show is focusing on violence against women. Though this 21st century, there are many places not only in india but also around the world where violence against women is prevelant. So i think this show is not completely regressing. It’s spreading a bit of awareness how such evils against women can affect their lives. I am not defending the show not supporting it. I am just focusing on the good aspects of the show.
I think we’ll R 2 privellaged, 2 say that this so is beyond imagination
Exactly
Most people give up or break things to get free from responsibilities.
If it’s toxic, they will not try to treat it, the first thing do is breakup and detach.
Anupama shows that mending and repairing the life is possible.
It’s just a truth not defense.
@Shika, yes Anupama is trying for that mending and repairing but its a very long process given the fact that our society is habituated with women slavery.
This empowerment is going to be tough as no one is ready to share or handle those petty household chores, everyone tries to push those away and ultimately those unpaid unrecognized endless burdens land on dil’s head, so this is a very big revolution somewhat similar to abolition of slavery.
I like how the writer of this article/episode synopsis always says “moral Gyan” it always makes me laugh reading it… Because that’s exactly what it feels like.
As for the story I have no clue where it is going. It’s so random at the moment like the episodes when some of the cast members had covid. Love the little scenes between anuj and anupama.
Ho Kya raha hai
exactly it’s like a kids show (dora-the explorer type), just going on and on giving morals
@Asphalt, then why do you watch?
Souble standards. Keep watching Doraemon or Chhota Bheem. Good for you
Just wish adults can practice morals the way they preach to kids.
Life is a continuous learning process, but here adults deny to listen any moral forget about learning it.
Result is obvious world war, cold war, bio war…. nuclear war?
World war, cold war, bio war, nuclear war š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Illogical
Positive Attitude!
Moral Moment of today’s episode
‘One has to bear pain and move on.., accept the truth, leave the pain behind’ š
Also Kavya not said wrong. Shah House can be toxic anytime which may effect Samar Nandini rlshp anytime. Safer if they live seperately after marriage.
Also Samar at the time of Shivratri was so rebellious that he was ready to stay seperately with his Mummy and Nandini.
Yeah Kavya is correct and girls now a days prefer to stay out of wedlock. Who wants endless responsibility, loss of identity, slavery and oppression in the name of marriage!
There no point and no meaning of having a family with a set of people who cant love, protect, accept and value you.
————————————–
Good point is Samar understands its the people who need to change, Mutual acceptance and respect is required to sustain the relation.
————————————–
Traditionally groom and his family weigh more and the unarmed isolated girl often lands in trouble with a bunch of strangers.
We need to start the tradition of mutual acceptance and assurance.
We cant demand dil to accept everyone without accepting she and her family as own.
One sided relations never work.
And also couples staying away from family doesn’t ensure safety if husband is abusive, looks like Malvika was tortured by her husband. Most of the sorrow for women comes from unsupportive husbands.
the songs in each episode are funny and illogical to another extent.
I do agree
Domestic violence is a sensitive important matter. It happens at all levels and is always hidden and scarcely reported . It is very good of the show to highlight this topic.
The other good thing about todayās episode is the conversation between SaNan . Vendetta shouldnāt be moving people , forgiving , letting go and managing life after troubles is a lifesaver. Life do not stop so weād better move on instead of focusing on revenge and gloating.
True!
We thought malvika was going to enter as the antagonist but instead it’s her who needs help to overcome her past and Anu seems to be the right person to help her. If they continue bonding like this I can see anu and anuj getting engaged in the near future.
Yes looks like Malvika has lot of fear, fear of accident, fear of domestic violence, she has lost parents and boy friend all via Anuj!
Good after escaping so much, that she finally has plans to start business and settle down, hope she will not run away again after giving all to Vanraj!
really? how is Anuj at fall, I mean his parent’s encouraged him to street racing, no sane parent ask there kid to race on road, and if Akshay really loved Mukku, why would he dump her, just because Anuj gave him Money… and as far as her abusive marriage is concerned, Anupamaaa and Malvika both seemed to be from baby-boomer generation, where in reality, you can see countless no. of cases, of women being married of because they are women and not educated like men, and then abusively tortured. It was the time no persons fault..
.
.
This show is basically, for baby-boomer and silent gen people, probably that’s why we(gen-z) are finding it illogical
I am not saying its Anuj’s fault, but for all her misery Anuj blames himself and I am also wondering why an educated powerful girl like Malvika allowed tortures and slip into depression because.
While saying this I am also aware that its not very easy to break the attachments despite being abused.
Again I am not saying its Anuj’s fault but somehow he takes all the blames on him.
And coming to gen x/y/z, family troubles/trauma are on increase as everyone is becoming independent but have forgotten interdependence.
No generation is immune from domestic violence , exploitation or emotional abuse . It is more pronounced in the developing countries due to the economic challenges and law enforcement major deficits , as well as the cultural customs and unwritten obligations .
I liked Samar in yesterday’s episode. Kavya is a shit character. How can she provoke Nandini to not marry Samar? Just because she is not happy in her married life? Which aunt gives such advice to her niece? It’s really disappointing to see Nandini easily got manipulated by Kavya. Nandini said,Malvika is creating problems in Kavya’s married life to which I can’t agree and she also asked who can tolerate husband’s Colleague living in the house ? Samar was absolutely right. When Kavya used to visit Shah house occasionally, came to stay at Shah house , when Vanraj celebrated Kavya’s promotion on Anupama’s birthday then no one thought about Anupama how she felt….. Samar is exactly Anupama’s son…. that’s why I like him so much.
