Malvika gets a panic attack seeing a neighbor couple fighting. Anupama asks what happened. Malvika shouts don’t beat me, runs to her room, and locks the door from inside. Anu and Anuj plead her to open the door. Malvika continues panicking and takes pills murmuring don’t beat me. Anu asks Anuj to open the door with spare keys. He says all keys are with GK. She tries to open it with hair pin but fails. On the other side, Shah family plays game. Baa wins game and rejoices. Bapuji and Mamaji joke on her. Pakhi hopes mummy attends party and calls her, but An doesn’t answer call. Samar says even Anuj is not picking call. Anu opens door via her old trick and rushes to Malvika. Malvika continues panicking and shouting pleads don’t me, it pains a lot. Anuj shatters seeing that and cries. Anu assures Malvika that there is no one here and notices medicine strip. She calls Anuj and asks if Malvika takes this medicine. He checks and says its depression medicine, he didn’t know that Mukku takes depression medicines. Anu asks what had happened that night. Malvika continues shouting don’t beat me. its paining. Anuj says he is responsible for Mukku’s condition; Mukku used to love Akshay and Akshay loved money; he separated them after knowing that and after that he got her married to a perfect husband candidate; Mukku obeyed him and married; he thought he set everything right; then Mukku and her husband went on a honeymoon trip; then on 31st December he went to meet Mukku and found her crying in a corner with injuries all over her body, her beast husband had brutally tortured her; they consider domestic violence happens in villages and small cities, but truth it its present in every house; rich women wear black goggles to hide their injury and middle class girls hide their face with dupatta.
He continues expressing his feeling out. Anu consoles him. He says he was damn wrong; they have normalized domestic violence that they consider a husband torturing his wife as normal; a girl doesn’t call her family because she knows they will not listen to her and hence tolerates everything silently, etc. He blames himself again for his sister’s condition and says he wanted to kill that beast, but Mukku interfered and that beast was saved; he pampered Mukku since childhood, but because of him, she suffered many nights of torture.
