Known for his compelling portrayal of Vanraj Shah, the actor revealed his departure from the Rajan Shahi production during a recent Instagram Live session. However, he chose to keep the reasons for his decision private, leading to widespread speculation.
In the wake of Sudhanshu’s exit, rumors began to surface, suggesting that Pankit Thakker might step into the role of Vanraj. Reports indicated that Pankit had even participated in a look test for the character on August 29. Sources claimed that the show’s creators were impressed by his performance, sparking discussions about potentially casting him in the iconic role.
Despite the buzz, Pankit Thakker addressed the situation in an interview with India Forums, where he decisively quashed the rumors. He clarified, “To set the record straight, I will not be joining the cast of Anupamaa.”
Pankit, who launched his television career in 2001 with Ekta Kapoor’s hit series Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, has since made his mark in several popular shows, including Bahu Humari Rajnikant, Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha, Dill Mill Gayye, and Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka.
