Star Plus’ show Anupamaa recently witnessed high-voltage drama as Shruti’s conspiracy against Anupama was exposed to Anuj and the Shah family. Ahead of this twist, Shruti left a letter for Anuj and decided to return to the USA, marking the apparent closure of her track. Pinkvilla caught up with actress Sukirti Kandpal to discuss the recent developments in the show, fan reactions, and her future plans.
When asked about the current storyline of Anupamaa, Sukirti Kandpal, who played Shruti, explained, “The current track of the show is a mix of emotions—love, jealousy, insecurity—and how it all plays out. It’s very beautiful in showing that we are all humans. It’s a humanizing one, in my opinion.”
Regarding her character’s exit, Sukirti said, “As of now, according to me, the track has concluded.”
Talking about the feedback from fans, Sukirti, known for her role in Dill Mill Gayye, shared, “I get a lot of fan feedback; many want to know how I maintain myself, my hair, my skin. They’re fond of my makeup and dressing sense, which is surprising because I don’t notice all this about myself. They also really like my nails, which I take as a compliment.”
She added, “And then of course some of them are not so pleasing but that’s ok. I think if you want to please everybody you should sell ice cream, not be an actor (smiles).”
Speaking about the cast and crew, Sukirti mentioned, “Everyone on the set is quite welcoming; from the crew to the cast, they don’t make you feel uncomfortable, and I had a good time working with all of them.”
Discussing her future projects, Sukirti expressed, “I hope to be part of some nice projects in the future. Of course, I can’t predict it, but my acting skills allow me to be part of the best, and that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
With Shruti’s exit, viewers will witness a major twist as Anuj finally expresses his love for Anupamaa. It will be exciting to see if Anuj and Anupamaa will begin their life together again.
Reports suggest that an upcoming drama in Anupamaa will unfold during Titu and Dimpy’s wedding. As the family celebrates, an old woman arrives at the venue. Titu rushes to meet her, revealing she is his mother.
Furthermore, Vanraj will lash out at Titu for hiding the truth about his mother, accusing him of deceiving the family. It will also be revealed that Titu’s mother was imprisoned for her husband’s murder, adding more tension to the storyline.
