New Delhi 2005, Independence day Parade
Apollena’s parents come to watch the parade. Announcement is made that that in some time, the brave airforce pilots will take over the sky with the tricolor of the nation. Apollena’s father Girdhar tells that all the kids like plane and our son…Madhu says all children are not same, Neil likes music. Girdhar tells that he has seen many dreams for Neil and will make him so successful one day, that his name will be all around in the world. He lifts him and makes him see the tricolor which is made in the sky by the airforce pilots. He asks Neil if he liked it. Madhu says someone liked it and says baby kicked her. Girdhar tells the baby that his boss Pallavi Madam was flying the plane. Pallavi is shown getting down the plane. She sees a letter and smiles. Vandemataram plans…..She comes there wearing the saree. Girdhar tells Madhu about Pallavi, who was airforce coordinator and now she is senior scientist in our institute. He says I will make you meet her. Pallavi receives an award. He goes to Pallavi and says happy independence day. Pallavi says Girdhar happy independence day. She tells that there is a fantastic news and says our research project who is developing astronaut training facility, got funding from the India space organization SRI. She says if we get successful then we will send our astronauts to space ourselves. Girdhar congrats her. She asks him to congrat him when she gets successful. She says she likes to go to space and wants to fly spacecraft and says she will be the first Indian astronaut to go to space.
Madhu says you said that Kalpana Chawla was the first Indian to go to space. Pallavi tells that Kalpana Chawla was Indian, but when she went to space, she was American astronaut. She says she wants to be the first Indian astronaut for my India. She asks Madhu, when she is telling the good news. Girdhar says anytime soon. Pallavi asks why did you bring her here. Girdhar says I wanted her to meet you. Pallavi says Girdhar is my right hand and is not just lab assistant. Girdhar feels pleased. Neil runs away from there. Madhu tries to stop him and starts getting labor pains. Pallavi tells that she will call ambulance, but comes to know that it is unavailable due to the VIP movement road blockage. She asks him not to worry, and takes Pallavi to Apollo lab. She tells Girdhar that they are trained for such emergencies. She asks Girdhar to go out, and she tries to do her delivery. Girdhar waits outside. Pallavi helps Madhu deliver the baby and calls Girdhar. Girdhar comes inside and sees the baby. The baby looks at the sky and smiles. Pallavi asks whom she is looking at and smiling.
Girdhar and Madhu come to their house in Chitrakoot. Amma asks why did you take so many days to come. He says he didn’t get leave and then the baby would have got injection. She says I told Bahu to come here for delivery, if she was here then she would have given birth to a son like Neil. Girdhar’s sister Renu and brother in law ask her to let them come. Amma introduces Renu and her daughter Sangeeta, to the baby. Renu’s husband gives money to the baby. Girdhar also gives money to sangeeta.
Pandit is called for the baby’s naming ceremony. Renu suggests Aparna, while her husband suggests Anushree, but Girdhar names the baby as Apollena. Her brother in law asks what is it? Amma says there shall be some meaning of the name. Girdhar says Apollo 11 is the first spaceship to go to the Moon, and our daughter is born in Apollo lab, so she is Apollena. Amma says if you are not done by naming Neil instead of Neil kand. He says Apollena from Apollo 11. Renu asks if he will send her to the space. He says he will make her very competent and places her in the cradle.
After 6 years, 2011
Apollo is seen doing rope jumping. Amma tells that they come in a year for just 2 days. She is upset that they will leave. Madhu says Amma ji saw the ticket. Girdhar says this is her everytime drama. He comes to her and gives her lollypop rocket. Neil asks if you have brought flute for me. Girdhar says I will bring it tomorrow and asks him to have lollypop. Apollena asks him to have it, but Neil makes it fall down. Girdhar says next week is your Unit test and you don’t the names of the 9 planets. Amma asks why you are bothering her, he came to meet Dadi for 2 days, and you started again. Neil tries to tell the names and couldn’t say all. Girdhar scolds him. Apollena tells all the 9 planets name. He asks how do you know? Apollena says she heard him when he was teaching Neil. Amma scolds her. Girdhar says she said right answer. Amma asks him to answer her, and says you shall stay with me for few days, but you don’t care for me. Girdhar hugs her and says I want you to come with me, but you don’t want to come. She says she will go from home in Arthi. She taunts Madhu for leaving her MIL and going with her husband. Girdhar says who can win over you. He says Pallavi’s project is on. Amma gets upset on Pallavi and asks him to leave the job. Girdhar says I am doing this job for my children’s future.
Later Girdhar wears the Astronaut’s clothes in the Apollo institute. Apollena ¬¬¬admires him. Pallavi thanks him for demonstrating the space suit. Girdhar says it is a wonderful feeling, he felt that he has done something for the country. Appu asks Neil to see, bit he says that he makes us wait. Neil tells that Pallavi madam does all the work and Papa is her Servant. She says Papa is not the Servant. Madhu asks them not to fight. Pallavi explains to her Assistants, while Vijayan clicks the pictures from the file. Pallavi asks if he has done the work. Vijayan says yes. Pallavi tells Girdhar, don’t know why he has much interest in this file. They come out. Pallavi greets Apollena. Girdhar says she can’t come here in the lab. Pallavi says she can come, as she is born here. Neil asks him to take them to wonderland. Madhu says they were fighting outside. Apollena tells whatever Neil said that their father is Pallavi’s Servant. Pallavi says he is her Assistant and without him, she can’t do her work. She tells that Apollena can become scientist and astronaut. Madhu says how she can become scientist being a girl. Pallavi asks if I can become scientist then why not her? Girdhar says if Apollena decides then she can make rocket and can fly it too. He asks if she will become rocket girl. Apollena smiles and imagines herself in space.
They come to wonderland. Girdhar asks Neil where is his ride, for which he was shouting so much. Neil says that side. Apollena sees the rocket and goes there, but the guy tells that she can’t go inside this rocket as she is small. Apollena recalls Girdhar’s words. Girdhar tells Neil that once his ride finishes, then burden will go from his chest. Neil says first he will have icecream. Girdhar looks for her. Just then they hear the girl climbing the rocket. They run there to see that she is Apollena. Appu has climbed the rocket. Girdhar tries to climb up and falls down. The wonderland staff makes him go out, and says it is for the kids. Appu gets scared. Girdhar motivates her and asks her to climb up. Appu loses balance but still hanging. Girdhar motivates her to remember the 9 planets name and climb up. Appu climbs up. Everyone claps for her.
