I watched as Deep and Maya went and danced together.
Aankhon ko teri aadat hai
Tu dikhay na to inhay shikayat hai
Aankhon ko teri aadat hai
Tu dikhay na to inhay shikayat hai
Bin chuay chhu liye hain
Tu ne mujhko diye hain
Pyaar ke yeh taranay jaaniya
Ye jo ab horaha hai kuchh ajab horaha hai
Kya yahi pyaar ka hai ehsaas
Sau aasmano ko or do jahano ko
Chhor k ayi tere pas
Sau aasmano ko or do jahano ko
Chhor k ayi tere pas
Sau aasmano ko or do jahano ko
Chhor k ayi tere pas
Maya sung trying to flirt with my husband and danced with him and my jerk husband was also smiling at her.
Jaane kya honay laga
Mujhko nahi hai khabar
Kiun neend se door ye
Jaane lagi hai nazar
He left Maya’s hand and came to dance with me and held my hand and I could see Maya’s eyes getting red from anger while I smiled as he twirled me and I fell in his arms and he slowly straightened me with a cute eyelock.
Chhoro yeh saari baatein
Ab mili hain jo raatein
Inhay jaanay na dena jaaniya
I sang dancing with Deep and got teary eyed when Maya took him away making us leave hands.
Yeh jo ab horaha hai
Kuchh ajab horaha hai
Kya yahi pyaar ka hai ehsaas
Sau aasmano ko or do jahano ko
Chhor k ayi tere pas
Sau aasmano ko or do jahano ko
Chhor k ayi tere pas
Maya sung turning his face to him but his eyes were still on me and tears were falling down my cheeks. He came to me leaving her and he sang.
Aankhon ko teri aadat hai
Tu dikhay na to inhay shikayat hai
Bin chhuay chhu liye hain
Tu ne mujhko diye hain
Pyaar ke ye taranay jaaniya
Ye jo ab horaha hai
Kuchh ajab horaha hai
Kya yahi pyaar ka hai ehsaas
He sung and wiped my tears.
Sau aasmano ko or do jahano ko
Chhor k ayi tere pas
Sau aasmano ko or do jahano ko
Chhor k ayi tere pas
I sung and the song ended and I had a cute eyelock and suddenly I felt him leave my hand with a jerk pushing me on the floor and I got embarrassed as the crowd was hooting as I fell, I looked back at Deep cryingly.
He seemed to be sorry and came to make me stand but I jerked his hand away and stood up and ran to my room closing the door as I reached and slid down the door pressing my back hard against it. I was crying bitterly. He haven’t ever done this to me. What is this Maya doing to him that I have no value in his eyes? Something is wrong with Maya, she’s not normal, I saw that the glass went in her hands but no blood came out, how is this possible? I am scared.
There was a knock on the door but I ignored it knowing it was him. The knocking was constant and I couldn’t tolerate it so I closed my ears. ‘Deep please go from here,’ I said in tears but the knocking on the door wasn’t stopping. ‘Deep please, please go from here,’ I said almost in a whisper but the knocking wasn’t stopping. I stood up angrily and opened the door. ‘Deep please go from here,’ I said suddenly opening the door but to my shock it was Maya. ‘Why have you come here? How dare you to come here?’
She held my shoulders, her hands were normal like us. ‘Relax relax, sorry for whatever happened to you downstairs, I am sorry, I was coming to Deep so you got pushed, really sorry,’ she said and I saw that the glass was still in her hands. I moved that hand from my shoulder holding it in my hand. ‘Maya, this glass is still inside you, I will take it out, you sit,’ I said faking concern towards her and she sat on our bed, I took out first piece from her hand but still no blood was there, but how?
I looked up at Maya and she was faking to be pained. ‘Maya please tell if it’s paining a lot, I will try to be as gentle as possible,’ I said faking to be concerned. ‘No its not paining, when glass goes inside the skin, we should get it out just like the unwanted people in our life,’ she said and I gasped as she was talking about me but then I smiled faking as if not affected. I saw Deep on the door. ‘Yeah you’re right Maya, when two people are happy together, you should leave them alone, just like me and Deep.’
She smiled. ‘You two make a good couple and especially this kid, she’s so cute,’ she said looking at sleeping Deepika smilingly as Tara used to look at her. I stared at her for a while and I could see Tara in her. ‘Right, she is, how won’t she look cute? She’s a daughter of a beautiful mother and that’s me, a child of a beautiful mother has to be beautiful, no?’ I asked and she looked back at me and smiled and I continued taking out the glass from her hand. The secret will have to come out.
‘Sorry Aarohi,’ he said and I smiled at him. ‘I fell because of her and not you,’ I said trying to hurt Maya but she just smiled and stood up. ‘OK sorry again and bye, see you soon,’ she said and stood up giving her charming smile to us and went with her heels ticking every now and then. I looked at the glass that went in her hand. Deep came and kissed my forehead and hugged me. ‘Sorry Aarohi, I love you,’ he said. ‘I love you too Deep,’ I said and felt someone looking at us. I broke the hug and looked at the entrance but no one was there, maybe mind is playing tricks on me, but I will have to find out the mystery of Maya. Now I am on Mission Maya.
Writer’s POV:
Little did Aarohi know that it was Maya who was looking at them from the entrance to hear out the point of view on her. She didn’t collide with Deep during the dance but she made her fall by far by some trick. Little did they know they had some connection with her and it was a very old connection. Maya wasn’t normal.
