And TV is soon going to launch another new TV show titled “Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki”. The show is based on two star crossed lovers Suman & Badal from two different caste backgrounds. Suman hails from rich class whereas Badal hails from lower class. These two are madly in love with each other despite belonging from different caste and their believe that love is the only thing that can remove casteism from the society and from their families.
It is also about the couple’s hope and attempts at altering the wrong mentality of their families and society that one should not judge the type of caste a person belongs because love does not depend on that. It’s a notion based on the belief that love is the only thing that can break all the rules of casteism in the country.
The promo of this show seems interesting, the promo shows about two star crossed lovers Badal and Suman who are madly in love with each other but one day they also have to suffer from the dangerous castesim in front of their families and society. The background music is also keep same as “Dhadak” title track. “Sairat Zaali Ji” the title track from the 2016 movie, originally composed by Ajay-Atul is being recreated for the show.
Kingshuk Vaidya who was last seen in Star Plus mythological show “Karn Sangini” will play main male lead as Badal and debutant actress Pranali Rathod will play as main female lead as Suman she was also seen in TV show “Pyaar Pehli Baar”.
The show is loosely based on the concept of Bollywood movie “Dhadak” which stars Ishan Khattar and Jhanvi Kapoor in lead roles directed by Shashank Khaitan and which was also the remade version of original popular Marathi movie “Sairat” which stars Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in the lead roles directed by Nagraj Manjule. The two films also have similar concept about these two star crossed lovers who are madly in love with each other and how they will save their love despite the rejection of their families due to different caste and also the same mentality in the society. The two films nicely hit in big screen. Especially the performance of the actors.
“Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki” will air from 18th June at 8:00pm in &TV.
