Star Plus’ Mariam Khan Reporting LIVE is heading for a leap. The show will star Param Singh and Mahima Makwana as the leads post leap. Param will be playing a young journalist Fawad Ashraf, while Mahima will be playing Mariam Khan. There will be college teens romance track. Param is known for his amazing portrayal in Channel V’s Sadda Haq. He was last seen in Life OK’s Ghulaam. Mahima was last seen in Star Plus’ Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, and presented a new side of her acting skills. She is undoubtedly a good example of young talent. The fresh pairing of Param and Mahima will add up much-needed spice in the show.
Deshna Dugad who plays child Mariam Khan has received much appreciation for her innocent charm put well in the character. Deshna will surely be missed from the cast. The show had replaced the long running Yeh Hai Mohabbatein at the 7.30 pm slot, but failed to garner good TRPs. Fortunately, the show isn’t pulled off air. Its introducing a generation leap with fresh faces to work out on the numbers. Avinash Mishra, Priyanka Kandwal and Paras Kalnawat will not be part of the show. Sheena Bajaj will continue her stint.
