Arshad Warsi opens up about being replaced by Salman Khan as Bigg Boss Host
In a recent interview, versatile actor Arshad Warsi shed light on why he was replaced by Salman Khan as the host of Bigg Boss after the show’s first season. Known for his remarkable performances in films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Jolly LLB, and Golmaal, Arshad shared his perspective on the matter.
Arshad explained that his departure from the hosting role in Bigg Boss was primarily due to his prior work commitments. He had been a part of the inaugural season of the controversial reality show.
Arshad expressed, “I couldn’t continue hosting in the next season as I was shooting in London. However, I firmly believe that Salman Khan was the perfect choice for the show. No one could have done a better job than Salman. Bigg Boss requires someone like ‘Dabangg’ Salman to handle it.”
The actor also touched upon his replacement by Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 2. He clarified, “Jolly LLB 3 is currently in the making, and you will see Akshay teaming up with me in the film. That was the original plan – I featured in the first film, and he will be a part of the second.”
Salman Khan, a Bollywood superstar, has been associated with Bigg Boss for over a decade. He recently made his debut in the OTT space as the host of the show’s second season. During the show’s press conference, Salman revealed that Farah Khan and Karan Johar were unavailable due to their other work commitments, which led him to take up the hosting duties for the latest season.
