Chapter 2:
At night:
Both of the family members and some close friends including Karan, Kabir and Alizeh were at Ali bhai’s house discussing about decorations and list of guests. Only the two best friends were missing.
Shushank to Kirti (Arhaan’s parents): Barkhurdar kahan hain? (Where is our son?)
Madhavi: Bhai sahab. Aap bhool gaye shayad. Aaj Thursday hai. Aur her Thursday ko dono bacho ko chahe koi new film release hoi ho ya nahi, lekin cinema jana zaroor hota hai. (Bhai sahab. I think u forgot. Today is Thursday. And every Thursday wether a new film has released or not, both of our children do go to cinema. )
There was a light laughter and again everyone got busy deciding stuff.
In cinema after movie:
(Since no new movie was released and there was special screening of Hum aapke hain kon they both decided to watch it)
Arhaan is seen coming out of cinema hall laughing and Manizeh holding a tissue paper and wiping her tears.
Arhaan: Kiya looser insaan hai tou. Kab bari hogi. Matlab yeh movie 100 baar se zyada dafa dekh li magar aaj bhi tou ussi same scene per roi. Kamaal hai tou and started laughing again. (What a looser u are. I mean u have watched this movie more than a thousand times but still u cried on the same scene. What a wonder u are and then started laughing again. )
Manizeh (Sobbing): Shut up! Tou nahi samjhe ga. Kuch kuch hota hai. (Shut up! You’ll never understand. It feels. )
Listening this Arhaan started laughing more which caused pain in his stomach. Seeing Manizeh sobbing he stopped laughing.
Arhaan: Acha sorry. Please chup hoja. Warna esa rota hoa moun tou lekar gayi tou na mijhay mere papa chorain gay aur na Arnav uncle. Tou kiya chahti hai? Keh tera partner tooti hoi hadiyoun ke saath nache? Saying this he started dancing like an insane. This made Manizeh laugh. (Arhaan wiping a tear of Manizeh from his face) Jokes apart. Tou jaanti hai main tujhay rota hoa nahi dekh sakta. Lekin tou itni cute lagti hai rotay hoay. Kiya keroun? (Okay sorry. Please stop crying. Otherwise if u’ll take this face home then neither my papa nor Arnav uncle are going to spare me. What do u want? Ur partner dancing with broken bones? Saying this he started dancing like an insane. This made Manizeh laugh. (Arhaan wiping a tear of Manizeh from his face) Jokes apart. U know that I can’t see u crying. But u look so cute while crying. What to do?
Manizeh: Achaw. Chal ab ghar chalein. Sab humare kaam ki list tayar kerke bethe houngay aur intezaar ho raha hoga. (Really? Okay now lets go home. Everyone would have made a list of work for us and shall be waiting. )
Arhaan: Haan chal. (Okay. Lets go. )
Both of them reached Ali bhai’s house and were handed with a list of work which was to be completed by them.

Since everyone was getting tired so Manizeh made coffee for everyone and after finishing the discussion everyone headed to their homes. (Mehrotras and Khuranas have their houses side by side)
Morning at Ali bhai’s house:
Everyone was busy doing decorations and ladies were busy selecting jewellery and lahangas for sangeet. Arhaan was seen sitting with ladies and helping them and Manizeh was seen helping in decorations.
Arhaan: Aaja Manizeh! Colour decide kerle lahengay ka. (Come Manizeh! Decide the colour of ur lahenga)
Manizeh: Yaar tou kerle na mera colour decide. Jaanta tou hai meri choice. (Yaar u decide the colour for me. U know my choice. )
Arhaan: Acha chal okay. Main decide ker raha houn. (Okay. I am deciding the colour. )
Everyone was noticing this and were smiling watching them.
Kirti to Madhavi: Pagal hain dono. Kon kahe ga inko dekh ker ke yeh dono sirf best friends hain. Arhaan was busy deciding the dress so didn’t payed attention. (Both are mad. Who’ll say seeing both of them that they are just friends. Arhaan was busy deciding the dress so didn’t payed attention(.
Whole day both of them were seen helping and caring for each other. Arhaan was seen making Manizeh try the lahenga. And making her drink juices. She was seen making him eat lunch because his hands were busy writing the list of work which was done. Both of them were favourites of each others family. Manizeh was seen massaging shushank’s forehead. Arhaan was seen making Madhavi have some tea. Like a perfect family but they never understood it that way and whenever anyone used to ask them about their feelings for each other as life partners they used to say “Hum bestfriends hain. Hum dono ek dosre ke liye koi na koi lekar aayengay”. (We are best friends. We’ll find someone for eachother for sure). They never knew that both of them were made for each other.
At night:
A small get together was held at Ali bhai’s house between the bride and groom’s family. Simran was the name of the bride. Everyone was sitting in the lounge and enjoying.
Manizeh to Simran: Simran bhabhi. Kahan hai aapki wo Australia wali cousin (pointing towards Arhaan) Kisi ko uska besabri se intezaar hai. (Simran bhabhi. Where is ur cousin from Australia.*pointing towards Arhaan* Someone is eagerly waiting for her).
Arhaan: Haan haan bhabhi. Batayein na. Aap keh rahi thi na London se aapka moun bola bhai bhi aa raha hai. Jay. Shayad jay naam hai uska.(Smiling foolishly at Manizeh). (Yes yes bhabhi. Tell na. U were telling that ur cousin brother is also coming from London. Jay? I guess his name is Jay. (Smiling foolishly at Manizeh).
Simran (laughing watching both of them teasing each other): Haan. Dono aa rahe hai. Is week dono ki flights hain. (Yes. Both of them are coming. They have their flight scheduled for this week).
Ali bhai (laughing): Bus kerdo dono. (Stop it both of u)

Listening them Kirti asked Madhavi: Arey haan. Luthras tou Simran ke bhi rishtedaar hai. Iska matlab Anita aur Anuraag bhai sahab bhi aa rahe houn gay. Aur unka beta bhi. Bohat chota tha jab aakhri baar dekha tha. Itne saaloun baad waapis aa rha hai. (Oh yes. Luthras are also Simran’s relatives. This means that Anita and Anuraag bhai sahab will also be coming. And their son also. Last time I saw him he was too young. He is returning after many years).
Arhaan to Manizeh: Bus tou tera tou ho gya kaam. Rishtedaar nikal pare Jay sahab tou. Maza aayega. (That means u are gone now. Jay became to be our relative also. It will be fun).
Listening this Manizeh started running after him and everyone started laughing seeing their cute noke jhok.
After sometime everyone started to leave and discussed about the dance rehearsals for sangeet. As less time was left in sangeet so a choreographer has been hired by them to make them dance ready before the event. Saying goodbye everyone left for their homes.
