The episode starts with KM breaking down worried for Atal and hearing to Awadh and Saraswati’s demand of property partition. Shanti comforts her. Bhavana’s father asks her to light lamps and celebrate diwali. Bhavana says they are celebrating diwali in their Gwalior home because of Atal, but Atal himself is homeless because of them. Father says they can’t have control on a few things.
British officer tries to humiliate Indians saying they don’t have food to eat and are poor but want to celebrate diwali. Atal replies that it’s their culture and asks if he thinks India is poor, then why did British government come here to loot it and earn money.
Shanti asks Sada to go and help Atal as KM is in grief worried for Atal. She also questions him for supporting Awadh and Saraswati in their evil plan of property partition. Awadh calls them to have dinner. Sada says Shanti will not have food after Saraswati slapped her. Rest of the family members also refuse to have food, leaving Saraswati shouting.
Shanti informs KM that KB is not at home. KM says she knows where he must have gone. KB reaches temple with a blanket for Atal and watches hiding. Panditji asks Atal if he didn’t go home yet. Atal says his family expelled him from house, so he will sleep in temple tonight if Panditji permits. Panditji permits him.
Precap: Awadh hands over property partition papers to KB. KB asks Prem to visit Atal’s school and inform him that his father called him.
