The episode starts with a milkman demanding KB to clear his milk dues. Awadh pays half dues and says they will pay the remaining due later. Atal understands his motto and says Awad paid his share and left the family’s share. KB warns him to stop accusing his brother. Atal says he is telling truth and promises milkman to pay the remaining dues. Awadh snatches money from the milkman and asks Atal topay the full dues if he can. Atal agrees. Milkman accepts Atal’s request.

Saraswati with her sister takes all the furniture and utensils of the family claiming her husband brought it. KM confronts Saraswati for her heinous act. Saraswati’s sister yells and says they shall partition even the kitchen. Atal says it’s wrong and says he will do the partition. Awadh shouts at Atal to do it then. Atal says Awadh can take all the utensils, he and his family will manage somehow or will beg from somewhere. Awadh tells Saraswati that she can take food from his wife for the family but not Atal. Saraswati says she will manage to get food from outside and if she fails will get some food from Saraswati for KB and Shyamlal as she can’t keep them hungry.

Atal visits a market thinking of arranging food for the family and recalling Awadh’s heinous acts. A revolutionary meets Atal and says he heard about his family’s situation, so he wants to offer him money. Atal says he doesn’t need money to serve the nation and his mother warned him to study first and then serve the nation. KM walks to him and says he is right. They watch a British officer destroy a vehicle lady vendor’s shop and ordering her to fall on his feet and apologise. Atal opposes officer and says he will not tolerate any mother’s insult. KM supports him followed by mob in the market, forcing officer to leave. Revolutionary welcomes Atal in his group and says what he did is also serving the nation.
