Baalveer actor Dev Joshi reveals he is doing Masters In International Affairs & Diplomacy; says, ” I don’t want to restrict me to just acting”

Dev Joshi, who has returned to the small screen with season 3 of Baalveer is super excited about his comeback. In a recent interview with ETimes TV the actor talked about season 3 of the fantasy show and shared that he is very attached to the show as he started his journey on Baalveer when he was 12.

He said, “I am very excited as Baalveer has been a great franchise for over a decade and we have got so much love from the fans. It is unimaginable and can’t be expressed in words, but Baalveer as a superhero and as part of everyone’s daily life, he has made a mark. I am really glad that we are coming up with season 3 and it is a great opportunity for me to come back as Baalveer on television.”

He added, “When I was 12, I started doing the show, from my director, the production team, and the crew, we are very much attached from season 1 itself. It is a feeling of coming back home when I shoot with the same team and Baalveer has always been close to my heart. Dev Joshi and Baalveer are inseparable. When it comes to shooting for the show which we started 2 months ago, it is very exciting because we shoot new things every day. It is not monotonous that we are doing the same thing, we get a new story, characters, and action scenes. It has been like a school for me since childhood and I am glad to be back on the sets.”

When asked if he feels restricted as an actor, he said, “No, there’s nothing like that. It is a moment of pride for me because an entire generation knows Baalveer as a role model for society. They see in me a superhero, who’s spreading positivity in society so when people look at me in that way, I feel proud of myself. Also as an actor, I have never confined myself to only Baalveer and I’ve always made sure to explore other characters also outside Baalveer. Like I did a film in my mother tongue Gujarathi. I’ve done characters like Chandrashekhar Azad in between the seasons. I am open to other projects and have never confined myself to Baalveer but I won’t deny that it has been an important part of my life.”

Talking about the actors who inspire Dev, he revealed, “I am a huge fan of the South Indian film Industry. I’ve been following many great films. I really love to watch Tamil, Telugu films. From the Hindi industry, I really feel motivated by Amitabh Bachchan sir and South Ajith Kumar ji.”

Dev also shared that he is currently studying for a Masters In International Affairs and Diplomacy. “Personally, I don’t want to confine myself to just acting. I want to explore other things. I am currently studying for a Masters In International Affairs and Diplomacy. I am always interested in things like politics, current affairs. I also want to pursue pilot training and I want to be a pilot. I aspire to be a professional skydiver so I want to learn new things in my life. Being an actor is just a part of life. It is my hobby but I don’t want to make my whole career around it or for the rest of my life,” concluded Dev.
