Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain fame actress Shubhangi Atre enjoys a massive fan following not just in India but in other countries like Afghanistan too. Post-Taliban taking over Afghanistan, the actress has been receiving messages on her social media account from her Afghanistan fans who are asking her for help.
Shubhangi talks about the messages in her interview with BT and shares, “I have been getting these messages from the day the Taliban took over. They have followed our show all this while and have enjoyed it. But they are now uncertain about everything in life. They are worried about their future. I totally understand their situation and feel bad about it. I wish I could do something to help them; I feel helpless. I’m praying for them.”
She further adds, “May they feel we are actors and are in a position to help them by sending helicopters there… I don’t know. They want to come out of that situation. My heart goes out to the women and kids there. We never thought something like this could take place, especially in today’s time. But I am also sure that the women will not bear the torture, they will revolt and come out if it. But what we are reading and watching right now on social media does give me goosebumps.”
When asked if she has replied to their messages, she says, “I have asked them to stay strong. I just hope all nations come together to do what is right and save humanity.”
