Lakshmi struggles to remove the ring Rishi put on her finger. A saleswoman offers a solution to help but asks Lakshmi not to inform the manager, fearing she might get fired. Lakshmi agrees. When Rishi arrives, he assures the saleswoman that the manager won’t blame her, taking responsibility instead. After she leaves, Rishi attempts to help Lakshmi remove the ring but fails. Lakshmi injures her hand in the process. Rishi suggests they buy the ring first and try later, but Lakshmi refuses, insisting she doesn’t want anything from him. Their conversation turns into an argument, with both exchanging sharp comments.
Meanwhile, Neelam and Karishma question Malishka about an unknown presence in her room. Malishka claims it’s a thief, prompting them to lock Balwinder inside. Instead of escaping, Balwinder decides to stay to check on his child. Neelam calls the cops, but Malishka worries the thief might have already fled. Upon searching the room, Balwinder hides and later manages to escape. Neelam alerts the servants to catch him. Mukesh grabs Balwinder, who disguises himself using a curtain. Kiran allows Balwinder to escape but later strikes him with a vase when others get suspicious. Karishma recognizes Balwinder, but Kiran defends him, feigning injury. Ultimately, Balwinder escapes the Oberoi mansion.
Back at the store, Rishi tells Lakshmi that he knows she still loves him despite her denial. He reminds her that while she refuses to keep the ring, she still wears the Mangalsutra, symbolizing their eternal bond. Lakshmi firmly states that she does not love him and warns that if he speaks another word, she will remove the Mangalsutra. Their argument intensifies, witnessed by Ayush and Shalu.
Shalu confesses to Ayush that Lakshmi is deeply hurt and thought everything was fine after Rishi’s proposal during Lohri. Ayush reassures her that they will work together to reunite Rishi and Lakshmi. Later, Ayush takes Shalu to shop for an engagement ring. Anushka, disguised as a Gurkha, watches them.
As their bond grows, Ayush gazes at Shalu, making her feel shy. When she tries to leave, Ayush stops her, asking what changed. Shalu, feeling flustered, insists something is different, while Ayush denies it. She then leaves, leaving him thoughtful.
