Ulka Gupta, who was previously rumored to be considered for the lead role in the upcoming season of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, is no longer in contention. The makers have now approached Bhavika Sharma to take on the role of the female protagonist.
An insider connected to the show disclosed, “We have evaluated several options, and Bhavika appears to be the best fit for the character requirements. We are hopeful that the deal will be finalized soon. As for the male lead, we are still considering various actors, and nothing has been confirmed at this stage. The reports of Fahmaan Khan being signed are inaccurate.”
Efforts to reach out to Bhavika Sharma and producer Rajesh Ram Singh for their comments were unsuccessful.
As previously mentioned, the decision to introduce a time leap in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin stems from the belief that the original storyline, which drew inspiration from the popular Bengali drama Kusum Dola, had reached its natural conclusion. Only Virat’s family, portrayed by Kishori Shahane, Shailesh Datar, Bharati Patil, Sheetal Maulik, Tanvi Thakkar, and Vihan Verma, will be retained in the upcoming season.
Bhavika Sharma gained recognition for her role as Santosh Sharma in Maddam Sir: Kuch Baat Hai Kyunki Jazbaat Hai. After a two-year and eight-month stint on the show, she left in October 2022 in pursuit of diverse opportunities. If all goes well, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will mark her return to television after an eight-month break
