Actor Jay Bhanushali, who was recently seen in Bigg Boss 15, is now all set to return to action. Jay was eliminated from the show four months ago. The actor will be hosting the second season of Superstar Singer 2. The actor was also offered Dance India Dance Li’L Masters, but he chose to be a part of Superstar Singer.
In a recent interview with BT, Jay talked about it and shared, “I became an anchor with Dance India Dance. However, both the shows were offered to me at the same time and I took the one that came to me first. It was indeed a difficult call, but it feels nice to be back on Superstar Singer.”
Jay spent some quality time with his wife, Mahhi Vij, and daughter, Tara, during his hiatus of 4 months. He shares, “I am glad that I could spend time with my daughter, watch films and play games with her. But I am always ready to work… work comes first. I love to entertain people and like to take the centre stage. I was waiting for that opportunity and I am glad that I have got it.”
Jay has been hosting shows for a long time, when asked if he is not interested in doing daily soaps and he replies, “People have made this perception that I only like to host and I’m averse to taking up daily soaps. I want to break the perception. My first love will always be acting and that’s what I am looking forward to doing. I was offered a couple of daily soaps, but they didn’t materialize. I am looking for good and meaningful work on the small screen. TV has made me what I am today and has also enabled my transition from an actor to a host. But I want like to inform the makers that I am interested in taking up fiction shows.”
