Bigg Boss 16: Dalljiet Kaur reacts to the bond between Tina Datta and Shaleen Bhanot

Bigg Boss 16: Dalljiet Kaur reacts to the bond between Tina Datta and Shaleen Bhanot

Shaleen Bhanot’s ex-wife Dalljiet Kaur is upset over him bringing up their past and their divorce, on national television especially when her son is eight years old now.

In a recent episode of Bigg Boss 16, Shaleen talked about his marriage and divorce with Dalljiet during a conversation with Tina Datta. He also said that Dalljiet and he are best friends now. When Tina asked about the reason behind their breakup, he said that they broke up over a silly reason.

This hasn’t gone down well with Dalljiet, who tweeted about it and wrote, “No I am not your best friend Shaleen. Meeting once in a month or two months for the sake of my child does not qualify as friendship. I wish you luck with your love life but leave me out of your fiction and stories please. And u r calling it funny? really? Tina no hard feelings for u.”

Now in an interview with BT, she opened up on her disappointment over her ex-husband making a mockery of their marriage. She said, “More than being upset for calling me his best friend in the house, I didn’t like what he told Tina Datta; that we broke up over a silly issue. I have also been in Bigg Boss (Season 13) and I stayed for 15 days inside the house, but not once did I discuss Shaleen or bring up the topic of our breakup or make a joke about it. He would never have gotten any calls when I was inside the house. I am getting calls because he chose to speak about our divorce. During my stint with Bigg Boss, it could have been easy for me to cry and get attention, but I never did that.”

She added, “He claimed we are best friends, but ever since we got divorced, we are only trying to be cordial and we happen to meet once or twice in two months because I want Jaden to have a beautiful relationship with him. It is a continuous effort since 2016 to keep the connection cordial and not offend each other.”

Dalljiet wishes him luck and happiness with Tina. “I am in a good space now and I want to keep away from Dalljiet-Shaleen controversies and I don’t want my 8 year old son to watch such things on national television. Whether he chooses to be with Tina or anyone else, I only wish him peace and happiness because he is the father of my child and I want nothing but positive vibes from him.”

Dalljiet and Shaleen broke up after six years of marriage in 2016. The actress also accused him of physical abuse and dowry. When asked about it, Dalljiet refused to spill the beans and said, “It’s all in the past and I don’t want to bring the past back into our lives. It has taken me seven years to heal and come out a stronger person. I am not saying that when a marriage breaks it is always the man’s fault, it could be the woman’s fault too. But Shaleen needs to understand that he can’t go on national television and make a mockery of our past. I understand he is in the Bigg Boss personal details come out, but he needs to give it some dignity and stay away from it. I want destiny to give him a second chance and I want that we both move on in our lives and focus on other things than going back to our past.”
