Raqesh Bapat who is an artist as well makes his own eco-friendly Ganesha idol at home for every Ganeshotsav. This year, he is inside the Bigg Boss OTT house but the tradition continues as he sculpts a beautiful Bappa idol inside the house. This is the first time Ganpati is invited inside the house.
Raqesh’s mother also made a clay Ganesha idol at Pune. Raqesh’s sister Sheetal talks about it in a conversation with BT and shares “Like Raqesh, our mother is also a wonderful artist. She made a tiny little Ganapati idol at home. She underwent knee replacement surgery three weeks ago. But she made sure that she makes the idol before that. I am really proud of Raqesh that he kept alive the tradition, which is very close to his heart. This is happening for the first time in a BB house.”
Sheetal mentions that they are really missing Raqesh and shares, “We are really missing him today. He used to relish those divine ukadiche modaks that my mother makes for every Ganeshotsav. Usually, the celebrations are huge in our household. But due to the global pandemic and Raqesh’s absence, we are celebrating it in a simple manner. We will bid adieu to Bappa, tomorrow.”
