The TV show “Chand Jalne Laga,” which brought to life an intense love story featuring Kanika Mann, Vishal Aditya Singh, and Gurpreet Singh in lead roles, is poised to bid farewell in less than four months. The daily soap, which made its debut on October 23, will wrap up its run on February 15, leaving viewers surprised by the sudden decision.
According to a reliable source associated with the show, “Yes, ‘Chand Jalne Laga’ is winding up on February 15 for reasons best known to the channel and the production house. Despite a change in the time slot from 8 pm to 6.30 pm, the ratings remained decent. The decision to pull the plug has taken the audience by surprise.”
Produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, the show faced a setback when Sheezan Khan, the parallel male lead, decided to exit within a month due to dissatisfaction with the trajectory of his character. Gurpreet Singh was brought in as a replacement to add a new dimension to the drama. However, despite these efforts, the show is concluding a little over a month after Gurpreet Singh’s entry.
“Chand Jalne Laga” also features a talented ensemble cast including Nasirr Khan, Sorab Bedi, Trishna Mukherjee, Shefali Mahida, and Krishna Gokani.
