Chandragupta insists Chanakya to drink medicine and signals him that he will speak truth after drinking it, so he should not open his mouth. He forcefully makes him drink medicine. Dhanannd walks in clapping and says there is no medicine in the world which can force anyone to speak truth, he gave most potent poison instead to kill Chanakya. Chandragupta is shocked to hear that and says he cannot kill Chanakya until he gets his wealth back. Seleucus on the other side sends his 4 aides disguised as brahmins to rescue Chanakya via Chandragupta’s informed route. In jail, Dhananand tells he will find out his wealth some day, but if he spares Chanakya, he may use his wealth against him, so it is better he dies. Guard informs that king Seleucus has come to meet him. Dhananand asks Chandragupta
Chandragupta gets worried for Chanakya and says he cannot let him die, breaks his chains. Chanakya spits poison and says he sensed poison via his knowledge and tried to hold it on his throat, but some poison went into his body. Chandragupta asks about antidote. Chanakya tells he should get some particular tree leaves. Chandragupta says he will take him out from and Seleucus’ men must have already entered to rescue him.
Dhananand meets Seleucus. Seleucus says he came to explain his plan to capture 15 dynasties. Dhanaannd offers him liquor. He silently rotates lever in Dhananand’s throne. Door in jungle opens, and Selecus’ aides get in. Seleucus continues explaining his plan, how they can get into a secret chamber and invade palace. Dhananand says whoever enters chamber will die due to poisonous smoke. Seleucus’ aides die similarly. Chandragupta takes Dhananand till door and opens it. Chanakya senses poisonous smoke and asks him to close the door immediately. Chandragupta does. Chanakya falls down and says his time has come, now Chandragupta should carry his dream forward. He closes eyes. Chandragupta cries thinking him as dead.
Chankaya Niti: A tree is attacked by many birds and animals and nothing happens to it, but a minute termite kills tree as it attacks tree roots; similarly one should never reveal their weakness to enemy and keep a watch that nobody is attacking them from behind.
