Moora says I was sure of your return. I knew you were close by. I could sense your presence around me. Acharya tells her that she has shown a great example of a Kshatrani to the world. I bow to you! Trust me that we got out of that dark dungeon because of you only. Let’s go asap as the soldiers will be coming. Chandragupta is curious to know who set the Ashram on fire. Moora takes Amatya’s name. I saw him myself. Chandragupta says I am sure it wasn’t his plan. He must have been sent by Durdhara.
Durdhara says I am sure Chandragupta and my faith will come true. I will tell her myself tonight that Chandragupta is alive! She overhears soldiers talking about the fire in Ashram. She panics for Moora and leaves on her horse. She runs inside the burning Ashram but Amatya holds her hand. It
Chandragupta cleans his mother’s feet. She says I don’t think Durdhara was behind all this. I saw something else in her eyes this time which I had never seen before. There was guilt, penitence, pain in her eyes this time! I feel she wont even think of giving new wounds to us. He reminds her that Dhananand set Hawa Mahal on fire just to kill them. She only told him about our hideout. I wont be able to believe this ever. Sthool seconds him. He turns to Acharya for support but Acharya says there is a chance in every situation. You just have to find it to utilise it to your benefit. This fire can also prove out to be a chance for us. Chandragupta asks him what he is thinking. Acharya says I have a plan. We need a special character so that it becomes successful. Chandragupta asks him if he is hinting at Durdhara. Acharya smiles. Perfect! This is why I am so fond of you. You understand the entire thing with one word. She is indeed the special character of our story. You must bring her here asap. Before Chandragupta can object, Acharya pronounces it as his order.
Dhananand tells Durdhara that she has become smart to hide things from him but a Samrat must know lot many things. Who planned that attack on me? Everyone is always a suspect in my eyes, even if that means you! Who knows me better than you? I will nab the real culprit soon. I wont ask you who you are hiding from me because I know you wont answer me after all. She replies that he is mistaken. I do not wish to hide anything from you. In fact, I want to tell you who it is. He asks her. She says it is Chandragupta Maurya! Dhananand laughs. He and his allies are long dead! Don’t you remember how I killed them in that fire? She nods. By killing Chandragupta it does not mean that you end his outlook too. It is still alive inside every rebel who is taking a stand against you. You killed him but I am sure someone will reignite the fire of rebellion soon!
Dhananand tells Durdhara to listen and understand him well. I would kill every enemy just like I killed that Chandragupta 5 years ago! Amatya apologizes for interrupting them. Ambiraj and Seleucus have called an important meeting. They also want you there. Dhananand refuses but Amatya says they wish to discuss about the fire in Ashram. Dhananand walks out with Amatya.
Chandragupta says I don’t trust her at all. Acharya tells him to bring her here if he trusts him. Will you be able to do so or not? Chandragupta gives in and turns to go when Moora stops him. I too deserve some happy moments with my son as I have been away from you for 5 years. He hugs her again. She tells him that he might not be able to be Durdhara’s friend but be respectful towards her always. Chandragupta nods. He calls Sthool fattie. Sthool tells him to respect him too. Everyone smiles. Both the boys leave. Moora asks Acharya what he is planning. Acharya says w ehave to make sure that this peace treaty is broken because of this fire.
Amatya asks Dhananand why he still seems worried. Dhananand says what Durdhara said shook me more than the fire. What if what she said was true? Is Chandragupta still alive?
Chandragupta and Sthool see Ambikumar making grand plans for decorating a place. I will bring Durdhara here. Chandragupta asks Sthool if he knows what he has to do. Sthool nods.
Durdhara refuses to go with Ambikumar. He asks her to come again. She turns to say no but finds Sthool’s message stuck on Ambikumar’s back. He sends a lady servant inside with something hideous. She is worried about her job but he tells her he will continue to help her just like he has helped her till now. She goes inside reluctantly.
Durdhara hugs Ambikumar in order to destroy the letter. She goes with Ambikumar.
Chandragupta cannot understand what Acharya is up to. I am angry even as I think of her.
The servant intentionally collides with Ambikumar. His anger is at its peak. He slaps her even when she begs mercy. He holds her hair and is about to burn her hands down but Durdhara stands between them to save the servant. She tells him to change his clothes asap. You are stinking. He mellows down. I will just go and change clothes. He directs her to the location. Durdhara asks the servant if she is fine. She gives her gold bangles and tells her to leave the place asap. Stay away from the palace or Ambikumar will punish her the day he finds her. She thanks Durdhara and runs away. Sthool is watching everything from far.
Durdhara comes to the said place. She is shocked to see Arya. He says pardon me, maybe you were expecting someone else. She tells him to stop talking nonsense. Leave. He denies. I am not bound by your orders here as we are outside palace. She says someone sent me a letter asking me to come here but I must leave. She turns to go but he holds her hand. You will have to come with me. She asks him how he dare touch her. Leave me! He says I forgot that only Ambikumar has that right. He let’s go of her hand. Shall we go now? She tells him he is mistaken if he thinks he can kidnap her. Chandragupta tells her not to challenge him. I can do anything if I want! I am used to kidnapping people. She tells him not to act smart. He asks her why she seems to be in a rush. Aren’t you satisfied after burning the Ashram? Do you wish to burn some other place too? She looks at him in surprise. He tells her that he knows everything about her. I know that that Ashram isn’t the first place which was set afire because of you! You and your brother set lot many things on fire 5 years ago! She recalls how she had cheated Chandragupta 5 years ago and the fight that had followed afterwards. Who are you? Chandragupta smiles.
