Channa Mereya fame Kanwalpreet Singh slams Chetan Bhagat for his comment on Urfi Javed
Popular author Chetan Bhagat is facing a lot of heat from netizens after his comments on Urfi Javed and her fashion choices. Now actor Kanwalpreet Singh who rose to fame with his stint in Channa Mereya has slammed Chetan for his comments.
Sharing his views about the comments made by Chetan Bhagat, Kanwalpreet said, “Chetan Bhagat’s comments made me remember the men from the 80s. I guess that he has forgotten that we are about to enter 2023 and he is still living in the 80s. I can’t even imagine that an educated person like him could talk such nonsense. Dragging someone else’s name in the middle of a conversation is totally wrong. By passing such remarks, he is misguiding the youth of our country.”
He added, “Blaming women’s clothes for men’s disturbing actions is completely not acceptable. Passing such distasteful comments on a public platform will encourage men to blame women for everything. It’s high time that he starts acting as a responsible citizen and does not respect every girl in our society.”
For the unversed, writer Chetan Bhagat talked about Uorfi during a recent event where he said, “Ladkiyon ki photos par like daba rahe hain… likh rahe hain.. crores like hote hain Urfi Javed ki photos par. Ek India ka jawan wo hai jo Kargil pe baith ke desh ki raksha kar raha hai. Ek humara youth hai jo bistaron mein ghus ke Urfi Javed ki photos dekh rha hai.”
Urfi also slammed Chetan for his remarks and shared screenshots of his conversation with young girls on Whatsapp. The author denied all the claims made by Urfi and called it, ‘non-issue’.
