Channa Mereya fame Niyati Fatnani condemns alleged cruelty with elephant Joymala
Channa Mereya actress Niyati Fatnani recently voiced her opinion against animal cruelty. She shared a video where an elephant named Joymala, now called Jeymalyatha, was allegedly ill-treated in Tamil Nadu.
Niyati condemned the cruelty against Joymala and wrote, “I was in a state of shock and grief when I first saw the video of brutal elephant abuse. I can’t even imagine how people can dare to hurt the voiceless souls. On the one hand, we are celebrating Ganesh Utsav and, on the other hand, the cruel people are mistreating the Elephant, who is a part of Lord Ganesha. This is cruel beyond measure. To hurt someone is not human. I demand that this inhumane act must be dealt with strictness.”
She added, “These brutal cases of animal abuse aren’t new as they happen daily in our society. In the year 2020, a pregnant elephant died in Kerala after eating a pineapple filled with crackers. We should come together and raise our voice against this cruelty.”
On the work front, Niyati Fatnani’s show Channa Mereya recently completed 50 episodes. The actress is winning hearts with her performance in Channa Mereya. The actress is also known for her role in shows like Nazar, Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhage, and D4-Get up and Dance. She also appeared in the Gul Khan-produced Hotstar sitcom Aashiqana. among others.
