Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa have officially ended their marriage after enduring a tumultuous journey together. The final hearing for their divorce was scheduled for today, June 8.
When contacted by Etimes for an update on the hearing, Rajeev confirmed the news, stating, “We are divorced.” He also took to social media to hint at their separation, posting a heartfelt message that conveyed their inability to hold onto their relationship while affirming their commitment to their daughter: “There are no goodbyes. Just two individuals who couldn’t sustain their bond. Love will endure. We will always be parents to our daughter.”
The couple’s divorce comes just a week before their fourth wedding anniversary. Rajeev and Charu exchanged vows in a grand ceremony in Goa on June 16, 2019. However, trouble arose in their marriage before they could even celebrate their first anniversary together.
Despite facing challenges, including Charu spending most of her pregnancy alone, the couple attempted to salvage their relationship, particularly for the sake of their daughter, Ziana. They had previously called off their divorce but ultimately couldn’t overcome their differences. Accusations were exchanged between them, with Rajeev mentioning Charu’s past marriage and Charu accusing Rajeev of avoiding confrontations and conflicts. Compatibility issues further strained their bond.
Presently, Rajeev and Charu are co-parenting their daughter Ziana. In an interview, Charu expressed her commitment to creating a joyful environment for Ziana. The three of them also meet regularly to spend quality time together as parents.
