Chetna Pande Opens Up About her Love Story with Director Nishank Swami: A Journey from Friendship to a Lifetime of Love
Actress Chetna Pande, known for her roles in shows like Fanaah, Ace of Space, and Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, went through a challenging breakup five years ago that left her disillusioned with relationships. However, in an unexpected turn of events, her close friend and director Nishank Swami became the healing force that mended her broken heart.
In a recent interview, Chetna expressed gratitude for Nishank’s unwavering support. She shares, “Nishank has been my rock through thick and thin. When we became friends, I was recovering from a painful breakup and struggling with trust issues. Although I wasn’t ready for a new relationship, Nishank’s loving and caring nature guided me through that difficult phase. I’m grateful that our friendship evolved into this beautiful connection. The most remarkable part of our relationship is that Nishank understands my silence. We always uplift and stand by each other in our endeavors. Falling in love with your best friend is an unparalleled experience. Love found me when I least expected it, turning 11 years of friendship into a lifelong commitment.”
Nishank Swami, who is also the brother-in-law of actor Arjun Bijlani, reminisces about their initial meeting 11 years ago during a calendar shoot at his office. He recalls, “Chetna used to compliment my work and encourage me to push boundaries. Even though I liked her, I couldn’t fathom asking her out, as she seemed out of my league. I moved on and entered another relationship, but it felt suffocating because I deeply loved Chetna. Rather than forcing a relationship, I ended it. Around the same time, Chetna hinted at having feelings for me. One day, during a night out, I hugged her tightly, half-expecting her to push me away. To my surprise, she hugged me back, marking the beginning of our romantic journey.”
As their relationship continues to flourish, the question of taking it to the next level arises. Chetna responds, “It’s certainly on my mind, but for now, we are focused on our respective careers and co-producing content. I also look forward to being directed by him in the near future.”
