Childhood Love: A DevAkshi OS (One Shot)

Hey guys! How are you doing? I am back again, with an OS, because your positive comments on my previous FS, gave me immense joy and pleasure…
So, without wasting time, let’s begin.

Plot: Dev and Sona are childhood friends, who used to study in the same school. They were the best of friends, inseparable.
The story starts with a 22-year old girl talking to a security guard.
Guard: But, Mr.Dixit kisi ko andar jaane nahi dete. (But, Mr.Dixit does not allow anyone to enter.)
Girl: Hello! Talk with respect. I am his childhood friend, Sonakshi Bose. So what if this is his office? He will surely allow me to enter.
Guard (wearily): Ok Madam. Go in.
Sona: See! This is the spirit! Thank you!

Sona goes in.
Sona (to a man): Excuse me… Where is Mr.Dixit’s cabin?
Man: That way, Madam. (pointing to the left)
Sona: Thanks!
She reaches Dev’s cabin. He is busy on his computer.
Sona: DEV!
She flings herself on him.
Dev: Excuse me! Who are you?

Sona: You didn’t recognize me, did you? Sonakshi Bose,obviously, who else can hug you like that?
Dev (stands up): Sona!
Sona: Yup!
Dev runs and hugs her.
Dev: How are you, Miss Khargosh?
Sona: Oh I am fine, Mr. Obodro.
Both of them laugh.
Sona: Remember, when I first met you, I was in sixth standard, and you were in ninth? You were so not-cheerful types, so Obodro.
Dev: I stopped acting like an Obodro when we both became best friends, but the name stuck.
Sona: Ya, so even you call me Miss Khargosh, God knows why.
Their conversation continues.
Sona: Ok, now I must leave. But, let’s meet again.
Dev: Tomorrow, at Café Canister 12:30 sharp, ok?
Sona: Sure!
Sona leaves.
The next day, at the café:
Sona is sitting at a table for two. Dev enters.
Dev: I hope I am not late.
Sona: Yes, you are one minute late.
Dev: Very funny!

Dev sits down.
Dev: So, what will you have?
Sona: One black coffee.
Dev: Same here.
They tell the waiter.
Dev: So, tell me, what did you do after school? Where do you work? And, how are your parents? Elena and Saurabh are fine right? And….
Sona: Dev! Let me talk, at least.
Dev: Oops! Sorry.
Sona: So after school, I started working to become a doctor. Now, I am working as a nutritionist in Welcare hospital. My parents are fine, and Elena and Saurabh are as good as can be.
Dev: That’s great!
Sona: And you are the most famous businessman in Delhi! I am so happy!
They continue chatting.
Dev: Ok Sona, I have to leave. I’ll get late for my meeting.

Sona: Ok, where do we meet next?
Dev: Tomorrow, we’ll meet at Delhi Central Shopping Mall. After that, we’ll go to RadhaKrishna restaurant.
Sona: Fine! Bye!
Dev: Bye!
Next day, at the mall:
Dev is standing near a shop.
Sona: Hey Dev, I’m not late, right?
Dev: Yes, you are 2 minutes late.
Sona: Shut up! Stupid!
Dev and Sona roam around.
Dev: Look Sona, there’s a clothes shop. Buy something for yourself.
Sona: No, it’s ok.
Dev: Arey! Come na.
Dev holds her hand, and pulls her towards the shop.

Dev: Now buy what you want.
Dev and Sona buy a great many things.
Then, they go to the restaurant.
Sona: Dev, since we met, we haven’t taken a single selfie.
Dev: Oh ya! Let’s take one.
Dev and Sona take a cute selfie together. After sometime:
Dev: Oh, it’s time to go. Come Sona, I’ll drop you home.
Sona: Ok.
They reach Sona’s house.
Dev: Bye!
Sona: Bye Dev! Thanks for the wonderful afternoon!
Dev: Your presence made it beautiful.
Sona smiles at him.
The next day, at Sona’s house, Sona opens the newspapers.
She is shocked beyond boundaries to see her and Dev’s selfie in the newspaper. The papers talk about Dev’s confession that he loves Sona.
Sona rushes to Dev’s house. Dev opens the door.
Dev: What happened Sona? Why are you looking so shocked?
Sona (with tears in her eyes): Dev, the papers……
Dev: One minute, I know! What is so shocking about it? It is not a lie. I did confess that I love you. Because I do, since childhood. I just thought of proposing to you, the best way in the world.
And I know that you love me too. If you don’t, just say no. Come on, say it.
Sona: I love you too. Since childhood.
Dev hugs Sona, and kisses her.

9 YEARS LATER:
Dev: Sona, you remember, our love story?
A little boy runs up to them.
Boy: What love story, Papa?
The boy is none other than DevAkshi’s son, Ayan. (You can take him as Ayaan Zubair Rahmani)
Dev tells him their love story.
Ayan: Wow! When will I have my love story?
All the three of them laugh, and share a group hug.
