Hitesh talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “Well, the first thought was that of ‘Punjab’. I’d done a Punjab based show ‘Choti Sardarni’ and people have given me immense love. People from Punjab have showered me with a lot of appreciation and adulation and thus I was driven to be a part of the show. The later thoughts were that of Ravi-Sargun, they’re brilliant actors and producers too”.
When asked if he is feeling any pressure as the old cast has moved out and the show is a popular entity already, he said, “I agree, there is a sense of responsibility. Whenever an actor enters the show mid-way, he/she needs to be prepared for both acceptance and criticism. Everything has its pros and cons. In this case, we already have a loyal audience who are connected to the show, and now it’s our responsibility to entertain them and keep them glued to the show”.
Talking about the feedback from fans, Hitesh added, “The response so far has been phenomenal. The ardent fans of the show have been messaging along with other people from the industry. I hope we live up to the expectations and deliver what is expected. I’d request viewers to watch the show and give us the same amount of love that they’ve been giving the show so far”.
