Bharti Singh, who recently became a mother to little Laksh aka Gola on April 3, during a recent interview, shared how mothers are rightly compared with Goddess Durga as they have the inner power and strength to multitask and focus on the baby.
She said, “Sometimes, everything is happening at the same time while you are looking after your baby – the doorbell is ringing, the phone is ringing, we are planning what to cook for lunch and dinner and the baby also needs attention. I feel that’s why a mother is compared with Goddess Durga, who gets the strength and power to do everything efficiently.”
She added, “I started working 12 days after I delivered Gola and it was because of my commitment to the channel, but people trolled me. Even during pregnancy, people kept telling me to sleep in a certain way, wear threads, do yoga, relax and not work a lot, only wear chappals, and whatnot! I worked till the last day of my pregnancy. I feel that every individual is aware of what their body is capable of. Harsh (Limbachiyaa) used to read a lot about how to handle the baby, but I don’t believe in following any set theories. All those who feel that one has to forget about having a peaceful sleep or enjoyment during the initial years are wrong because I feel that along with a lot of work, there is immense happiness that you feel when you have your baby in your hands.”
Bharti, who will be soon hosting the upcoming season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs, shared that she does not feel guilty about leaving her baby at home and working. She said, “My baby is not home alone. My family, two helpers, Harsh’s family, my niece are all around to support me and I also have a camera installed at home to check on him. Currently, he is in safe hands so I don’t worry or feel guilty about leaving him at home. I am very passionate about my work and I also feel that if I had not worked or earned money, we could not have afforded such facilities at home. And this time I am hosting a show alone, so Harsh will be around to check on him.”
