Controversies Surrounding Shark Tank India 3: Founder Saumya Mishra Speaks Out

The latest season of Shark Tank India has stirred up controversy once again, with criticism directed at the Sharks for their alleged rude behavior towards the entrepreneurs pitching their ideas. Among those speaking out against the show is Saumya Mishra, founder of a beauty and skincare brand, who recently appeared as a pitcher on the show.

In an interview with News 18, Saumya expressed her disappointment with one of the Sharks, Peyush Bansal, labeling him as the “worst Shark.” She recounted her experience on the show, highlighting an argument she had with Peyush, during which he questioned her choice of words regarding her employees.

According to Saumya, she was labeled as arrogant by the Sharks, particularly by Anupam Mittal, following the altercation. She clarified that her use of the term ‘ladki’ (girl) was misinterpreted, as she was simply quoting a client’s preference for trained female therapists. Despite attempting to explain herself, Saumya felt that her words were misconstrued, leading to unfair judgment from the Sharks.

Regarding Peyush’s subsequent gesture of comfort, Saumya dismissed it as insincere, suggesting that it was merely a ploy to enhance the Sharks’ public image at her expense. She accused Peyush of exploiting the situation to bolster his own brand reputation, rather than genuinely empathizing with her.

Saumya’s candid revelations shed light on the challenges faced by entrepreneurs navigating the high-pressure environment of Shark Tank India, where their ideas and character come under intense scrutiny. As controversies continue to surround the show, Saumya’s voice adds to the ongoing dialogue about the treatment of participants and the dynamics within the investor panel.
