She looked all shattered. Gently let her chin fall down.. lowered herself and started picking up her folders.
She could have defended her side. Her silence made him guilty. He remembered her saying to om about how she used to hear harsh words when she grew up in orphanage. He knew he pulled the folder and that made her fall. He remembered her saying that she had no one and cried the previous night.
He was about to kneel down to help her.
She halted him with her hand signalling a NO.
She took all her folders. And even arranged his papers. Left the room without a word.
She went to gauri’s room, knocking.
May i come in? She asked.
Arey… you can come in. Why asking me and all? Gauri replied.
Anika tried to smile and placed the folders.
Select any design for your mehendi function she said.
Wow. Gauri all excited.
“Which Lesign you Dike ?” anika asked.
Gauri was unbalanced. What?!!?! She asked.
“Which Lesign you Dike?” again said anika.
Gauri still confused.
“Spoonerism” Om laughed.
“I cant understand a word” said gauri with a fed up tone.
Spoonerism means interchanging the initial sound of two words in a sentence. Instead of “which Design you Like?” anika made it “which Lesign you dike?” sounds funny right? om winked.
“But that happens only when your concentration is totally not here?” he asked curiously.
it’s not like that. Tell me gauri which lesign.. errr design do you like she went all clumsy.
“Let om choose” gauri said as she held his hand in hers.
Artistic man is assigned a job in his field. Aye aye captain. Let me choose he said it with all fun.
He selected one and requested anika whether he could draw it on her hands.
Anika reminded om that he should also write his name along with the designs.
Gauri was overwhelmed. You’ll do that for me ? She asked. Anything for you, he smiled.
She got up and was about to leave.
Sarala the house maid came in with cups of coffee.
Being absent in the real world anika went straight at the cups and yes.. coffee bath it was.
Sarala apologized. It’s alright , it was my mistake sorry” anika said.
Ayoo… please use my bathroom to clean the stains, gauri told anika.
Anika thanked her and went in just to clean em up. Shivaay came running to Om’s room. Ill wash my car keys here. It fell into the mud. I have a meeting in 10 mins he said. Before om and gauri could stop him he rushed in.
“Aaaaaaa..” shouted anika and came running out. Just because i came into your room without knocking once, you can’t enter a bathroom without knocking. She yelled.
Look anika i was in a hurry, you threw my papers all over the place, i shouted at you. I know. Im so sor.. well.. you know.. it wont happen again he said.
I dont know what happened between you two. But believe me anika.. when SHIVAAY SINGH OBEROI apologizes.. he really means it om winked.
Shivaay and anika looked at each other.
Both smiled.
“yayyy… happy mehendi” gauri exclaimed.
Rudra went to sowmya’s room (his own room) saw her speaking with her headsets on through the glass. Who is she speaking to? He wondered.
He called her by knocking on the glass. She saw him all tensed. And after the call ended she came to open up the door.
Listen… i.. i am..i am sorry. Ru said with guilt.
Sowmya all suprised. Pinched him.
Aaaahh!!! Why did you pinch me? I apologized no… he said with a puppy face.
I was checking whether it’s true. Well yeah.. it is not a dream.
How come ? What happened she asked ?
I realised my mistake he said.
With whose help? she cross-questioned him.
Well, wont i have my own brains he said with a grumpy voice.
Fine. I accept your apologies she smiled.

You want some pizza ? Sowmya asked.
No im on my diet ru replied. Why dont you follow a diet plan he suggested.
She turned red again.
Areyy not teasing your weight. But being healthy is good ? He said.
She gave it a thought and hesitantly said okay. But i will need you to guide me she said. He replied affirmative.
Shivaay took off to the office and came back after the meeting.
“Can i come in ?” Anika asked.
Turned back to see her standing so quietly. He smiled a yes.
She showed him some themes for the the upcoming rituals and asked his opinion.
But he never looked at the folder. He was totally looking at her. She was feeling pretty uncomfortable.
He took his hands near her. Let them inside her hair behind the ears. She felt shy.” Shivaay”.. she said in her husky voice..
He took out a button from her earring and showed it to her.
Realising it had come off his shirt when her pom pom earrings got stuck to his chest button.
Yikessss…Sorry!!!..she said as she held her ears.
He smiled.
“An office official found my button missing and asked me.. and i remembered the incident.. i just couldnt stop smili…” he was about to complete.
She turned her face and smiled even more.
Friends ? He asked.
Anika Nodded a yes.
