It was haldi.
All the pleasant morning themed decorations were breath taking.
There were dew drops found hanging everywhere. Yellow curtains added to its beauty.
Anika entered in her yellow cold shouldered long back-less gown, loose straight hair curlled below, long golden earrings. Speechless, pinky came running… “did you tell him? I am dying to have you as my DIL”. She screams in anika’s ears.
“No maa.. she lied to her as her tears started peeping out.
Gently combing anika’s hair..”you still have time.. dont break your heart later..” pinky said and moved away.
Kept anika all thinking.
Everyone looked happy. Seeing om and gauri everyone really did feel happy.
Om came running and tickled gauri.. she jumped and laughed. Later she chases om to do the same.
Ru in his yellow shaded kurta saw sowmya all dolled up in her sandal coloured gold printed half sleeved blouse and long meroon skirt.
He told her that she looked beautiful by action. And sowmya smiled.
Shivaay enters the scene.. saw anika entering. Breath-taking beauty she was.
She went near him.. he moved away immedietly.
She felt dejected.
Oh my mata !!! You guys are getting married tomorrow. Why are you moving like sloths? Come on come on.
Let the colours be applied soon, Pinky shouts.
Om and gauri hopped immedietly to the places in the open garden and both were applied with turmeric. Smiles, smiles, smiles everywhere.
While anika was roaming inside the house decorating and shouting to the suppliers over phone for the correct execution of grand wedding ahead her tomorrow.
Prinku signalled anika that anika’s back hook had come off while anika was busy arguing over her bluetooth device. Anika turned back to see it open and smiled to prinku.. thanked her by signal and walked to the nearby room not noticing to which one she was entering.
Standing in front of the mirror, she grabbed her hair and put em all in front. She tried crawling her fingers to her back so that she could reach the hook. Biting her lips she tried her fullest to reach it but in vain. Still arguing over phone.
Jerking, she felt yet another set of ten fingers crawling her back to join the hook.
“Oii madam.. last and final.. twelve thousand” guy shouted over phone..
She didnt reply as She saw shivaay singh oberoi looking at her in the mirror. When he looked down, he was literally awestruck. She looked damn hot in her backless dress.
It was as if she was flaunting her back and had entered the room just to mesmerise him.
He placed his palm a little lower. She shivered in shyness.
“hello madam.. hello.. hello” guy shouts.
Gently removing her bluetooth, “Madam is busy” shivaay whispered and throws it away.
He had actually stole some turmeric from the kitchen. He applied it on her back. He could see her shiver throuh her reflection.
Gently turned her over. Looked into her eyes. Applied it on her cheeks.
“shivaay.. “ she whispered.
Stepping back, with a volumed up voice “Thanks. For letting me practise how to enjoy haldi with ananya.. now get out and send ananya in” shivaay said.
She was Shocked. Taking in short breaths, she rushed out.
By the door, she cries and sobbs.
Runs to the washroom and cleans the turmeric off her.
Ananya and shivaay is made to sit and the oberois apply turmeric to them.
Prinku all nervous looks at shivaay. He notices her and asks is she fine?
Trying hard she puts a smile and nodds yes.
Haldi gets over, and still some turmeric is seen left out. Dadi asks ru and sowmya to put these vessels to wash.
On the way.. sowmya asks “when is holi?”
“In 3 months i guess” he replied.
“Ah i miss celebrating it with mama papa” she said as he saw her happy face frown.
“we can celebrate it now” he said promptly and wiped the left out turmeric and slashed it on her cheeks an runs..
She goes running to the kitchen drops the vessels in the sink and chases ru.
“Dont run or else i’ll add more calories in your diet without you knowing..she blackmailed as she continued chasing him.
Finally grabbing him, she wiped the turmeric on her face by wiping it directly on his kurta.
(It was actually an indirect hug)
Laughing and giggling they both stopped at a point.
Realising their position sowmya unlocked her hands around his neck and he moved his hands away from her hips. They again shared an awkward smile.
Ananya came out of shivaay’s room after discussing about a deal and the regulations of a company.
Seeing her coming out, Not knowing about the topic they had discussed and assuming them to have spent time enjoying their haldi, anika fumed in anger.
Shivaay noticed this and maintaining the same.. he saw anika with a pity face.
“Dont worry, you will kill your feelings soon, i know it.. just chill” he said smiling.
Staring at him like literally throwing flame from her eyes, she swooshed away.
He smirked. He could see her all jealous and that is exactly what he wanted.
“look at me, all yellow, im yellow ranger, SPD EMERGENCY!!!” gauri screamed in joy.
You are crazy ! Om laughed and pat her head.
“you know ? I’ll definitely let my son paint his own life. Im sure he’ll become like his father one day, doing what he love, living within his principles, not trying to fit in this cruel world” gauri said.
“you have no idea how beautiful you words were now. Are you sure you’ll give him that freedom?” he asked all awestruck.
She nodded a YES.
“Because it was not that easy for me to be on my own. Tej never liked me that way. I had to struggle my way. I was so sturdy on what i wanted. I am happy that my son wont have any such struggle” he said wiping his tears.
“Okay.. before all that.. we need a son!” he said nuzzled into her hair.
“Haha.. just a day more Mr. Poet, then i am all yours” she said pushing him away.
Anika came searching for her bluetooth.
She remembered shivaay throwing it away in his room.
She entered with a knock and saw shivaay busy signing his files.
“My bluetooth” she said angrily facing the other side.
He signalled it to be on one corner.
She bent down to pick it up. Her hair fell in front.
He took a glance while signing the papers. He saw her back gleaming.
Jaw dopping, he stammered “You are distracting me” he yelled.
What?!? Ananya yelled as she entered his room.
