Chapter 2
Anika was immediately shifted to a luxurious and comfortable room, and was provided with more than enough food and clothes. No one came to see her and it had been quite a while.
“Did you see our mate, he is so handsome just like Prince Charming’
Anika couldn’t stop but cringe at her comment. There was no way she was going to have a wolf like her.
“You’re awake” a voice suddenly loomed in the empty room.
Anika jerked back, she turned back to see her mate watching her with his darn eyes.
She was not brave enough to say a word, she just waited for him to say something.
He seemed to have noticed her hesitation, therefore excused himself “It’s late in the night, you should probably have some sleep. We’ll talk in the morning” that was all he said and closed the door knob.

She woke up with a throbbing pain in her head. She got off the bed and walked towards the door, opening it.
“Hello Ma’am”
She sighed in frustration, there were two guards standing outside.
“Hello, if may I ask where is the Alpha?” she asked.
Both of them stood dumb, there was no answer coming out of their mouth. They looked like someone had tied their mouth, preventing them from speaking. This made her lose her cool.
“Where is the Alpha? I need an answer or I am running off” she threatened.
Both of them finally had a change of emotion, they were scared.
“Go straight and turn towards you right, The first room is the Alpha’s” one of the guard answers earning a death glare from the other.
She followed the direction, but stopped right in her tracks when she noticed the door was wide open.
She remembered her mother stating eavesdropping is wrong but she couldn’t help herself hearing the giggles of a female. She hid behind and watched, soon a she-wolf came out all happy and giggling and behind her came the Alpha aka Anika’s mate.
‘That b*t*h, I am going rip her throat off! Who does she think she is hanging around our mate’
Anika couldn’t deny but accept the fact, she felt her blood boil all she wanted right now was an opportunity to snap her neck.
Opportunity? f**k Opportunity, she could make one herself.
Instead of going and snapping her neck, she stood behind and watched.
They could have been a possibility, she was his sister or something. Well, all the possibilities came crashing down, when she sighted both of them leaning in. With anger gushing out, she went ahead determined to break their faces, but was pulled back by a hand. She swirled back and crashed on a wall.
She looked up to see another man helping her out to stand properly apologising for pulling her out like that.
“Leave me” she growled, her anger did not subside.
“I am sorry babhi, but I can’t. You will only make things worse” he said.
She felt a shock hearing the word ‘Babhi’. Of course most of the members in this pack were Indians migrated to Ascot. The word meant ‘Sister-in-law’ in Hindi, but why would he say that? Only if…
(Note: Ascot is a fictional place in this story)
“I want to kill them” she said murmuring, he anger seemed to get under control.
“You can confront him later but right now. She will leave soon then you can go to him and even kill him if you want. I would help you all you need to do is call Agent Rudy” he said grinning like a fool at the last part.
At this point Anika let a laugh herself, it had been a while she was like this and for some reason he reminded her of her younger brother.
“By the way Babhi, I am Rudra. Your mate’s younger brother but I have got more brain cells than him” he introduced himself.
“I can see that” she answered chuckling.
There was a minute of silence, then suddenly Anika asked quietly “What is his name?”
He smirked at her “Shivaay”
No it couldn’t be she thought. She couldn’t possibly be mates with the shivaay Singh Oberoi himself.
The Oberoi Pack was one of the strongest or in fact the strongest. Now everything made sense, Rudra was the Gamma while Omkara was the Beta. There were stories she heard about how ruthless the alpha was to the rogue and enemies.
“Babhi, now you can go and kill him if you want, Ragshit left” he said while his eyes turned black when he said ‘Ragshit’ sure that was indicating the girl.

“What do you want?” he answered in an irritated tone.
“What do I want? What do you want. You cage me here and if I ask a question, is that wrong?!” she shouted back.
“You are my mate for goodness sake, so where else would you be?” he counter asked.
Sure, she was his mate.
“Yeah right, I am your mate” she said in a sarcastic tone making him angry.
He was walking towards her, but she just stood there angry.
“Don’t come near me, I am going to be no mate for a man like you. When it seems like you already have someone for that place, why the hell am I here?” she screamed.
The next thing she knows, she is pinned towards the wall with her mate’s hot breath breathing towards her neck.
“You are my mate, you are mine” That’s all he said avoiding the question.
Anika was not the type of woman who would tolerate such type of behaviour. She grabs hold of his hand bends his knee and hold his hand behind him.
“You have no right,” she said.
There was no way she was going to be with someone like him.
“I Anika-”
“No” he whimpered.
Her wolf was in pain but at the same time was ready to do this. Neither she nor her wolf could tolerate his behaviour including the fact he is with someone else despite finding a mate.
“I Anika reject you Shivaay Singh Oberoi as my mate” she said and left him falling on the floor. She was hurt indeed, her wolf cried but the strength did not fade. She walked out of the room right away.
