Chapter 2
Ragini turned across to find the same black demon whose face was covered with a hood. His hands raised and pushed her. Her leg which was at the edge of the hill felt losing it’s grip and her breathing became horse and limbs felt frozen.
Hyperventilating due to the lack of oxygen her lungs faced she sat up after woken up from the nightmare. Her fingers got tangled in her messed hair. Why does the nightmare has to comeback every night she cursed taking a deep breath to relax her galloping heart which was still under the effect of the virtual reality she witnessed just a minute ago.
Dragging her quilt over her she lied on the bed and again felt the temperature dropping around her. She felt a shadow and her eyes hesitantly moved to the pillar in front of her. The pillar stood lonely and there was no trace of anyone. But she surely felt a shadow.
“Damn” she cursed and closed her eyes. Suddenly for a strange reason she smelled mint. Her eyelids moved inside her closed eyes. She did not wanted to give up to her intrusion again and prove herself dumb so remained closed eyed. Only if she knew a pair of lips were just an inch away from her lips hungrily staring them.

She threw the cushion beside her to the alarm clock which made the annoying noise. She hated it so much but there was no other way to break her beauty sleep. Yawning lazily she sat stretching her hands with still closed eyes. The chirping of birds and arrival of spring made her smile stretch from ear to ear. The hot sun rays felt new and she couldn’t help but lose in that beautiful moment.
The sun rays reached her eye lashes which flapped open with the fragrance of flowers reaching her nostrils and refreshing her breath. She pushed the quilt and walked to the washroom to get refreshed.
The snow had capped only the mountains at the horizon and the brown plains at the steep with a snow cap those mountains looked like a big volcano made of chocolate wafer and the instead of lava the ice thrown out of it. She kept admiring them from her window after she was all ready to leave for college.
“Your breakfast is ready” she jerked a bit then nodded her head before turning to the door of her room where her Robotic Bodyguard stood with his eye covering shades. She wondered what his eyes might look behind that black fiber. She had hardly seen people with expression around her. Only her mom had that bright smile finding her and she very well knew that smile was cladding something else which she could hardly decipher.
She descended the stair behind Derek and seated on the chair. “Bye Darling I have an important meeting” her mom kissed her hair and walked out. She just continued her food not willing to react or just maintaining her numb posture.
Picking her car keys she unlocked it and sat inside it closing the door beside. The heating sun was just bringing a smile on her face. Her eyes landed on a lake beside the road. The flowing water which marked the arrival of spring made her to feel the moving time. She couldn’t define how she felt when she saw the flowing water than the frozen lake in the same place.
She pressed the button of the music system to play a beautiful song which express the happiness she was feeling due to the change in season.
Closing the car door behind she locked it and walked to the entrance of the college with a beautiful smile playing on her lips.
“Ragini” she found her classmate Jatin walking to her. “This was with Parth as you left it in the class itself. He has gone for a family vacation so he told me to give it to you” he handed her a book. Moving her gaze up from the book she looked at Jatin. “Um thank you” she said and looked at the book.
“Mention not” he walked away from her. “Er. Jatin” she called him and he turned to her. “Suddenly vacation?” asked she surprised. “Um I have no idea. He said that’s more like a culture their family has been following every year for a month they visit their native” he said what he knew.
The hollowness crept her soul again and she don’t know how to react. Adjusting the bag strap she took a deep breath. Her phone ringed and she picked it up without looking at the name of the caller.
“Yaar Ragzee you forgot you had promised me that you will help me in shopping” she heard Akhil’s voice from the other side.
“I..I’m sorry Akhil. It just went of my mind. I will meet you in the evening after the college” she apologized and hit the book to her temple. “Ouch” the edge of the book made her wince. “Hey what happened?” Akhil asked worried. “Nothing much. I will meet you in the evening. I have a class to attend. Bye” she disconnected the call. As she walked rubbing her hurt temple she felt a cooling sensation like her skin touched menthol.
Her eyebrows knitted in confusion as the pain disappeared in fraction of seconds. Strange happenings had changed their direction towards her life and she did not knew why was she blessed with that.
Letting out a deep sigh she walked to her class. After entering the class she walked to her desk where she sat and placed her bag aside. The unoccupied seat on her left made her feel strange. She heard a faint sound. It resembled the sound of breathing. As she turned the empty seat blocked her mind for a fraction of second.
Coming out of her trans she nodded her head and turned to the board to concentrate on the lecture. Professor Mittal was teaching about regeneration of cells in plants. Her mind seemed engrossed in the subject but what confused her was the voice of Professor Mittal reached her ears but her brain was not deciphering the sound waves.
She felt traveling in a different dimension suddenly and sparkles around her made her vision bleached. She looked around but there was only one color that was white.
“You are missing me aren’t you?” she heard his voice. As she turned he was standing at the edge with a slightly bent head and mischievous grin playing on his lips.
“I’m not missing you. Why should I? I’m actually happy that you aren’t around” she crossed her arms. He nodded his head with a blush. She hadn’t seen his this side from the day she met him on his first day. Now three months have passed from that day and they had hardly spoke other than some formal things as bench mates.
But they appreciated each others presence in their life for a strange reason. Both used to rush to the class just to sit beside each other and feel the presence of each other without speaking word.
“Tell that looking into my eyes” he huskily leaned to her and she lifted her head to meet those black cold orbs. “I did not miss you” she said and he leaned more close to her.
His perfect chest which peeped out of his shirt made it difficult for her to concentrate. “Now” he whispered and his breath brushed her lips. Swallowing the spit she looked at him with her dried throat. “I” she could not speak further as her voice died in her throat as his lips touched hers.
Her eyes were ready to jump out of her eye sockets and heart beat went wild. She stood numb when he dragged her hands and snaked them across his neck and closing his eyes to enjoy the moment.
His hand landed on her back and he pulled her close and she collapsed on his hard chest and it sent those butterflies in her stomach on a flight. She felt she was breathless all these days and he has breathed a life inside her. And finally her soul lost in him and she closed her eyes and stroked his hair.
“Ragini” she was snapped out of her dream as a loud voice hit her ear drums. As she left the breath she was holding her senses realized where she was. But it felt so real and blissful that still her throat was feeling dry. She felt her thumb which was caressing her jaw.
“What’s wrong with you girl. Silence your phone” Professor Mittal signed her. Her limbs worked and she took out the phone and silenced it. She did not understand whether she was in a dream earlier or she is dreaming now. With a person with whom she has not even spoken a full paragraph from the day they met she visualized a dream of kissing him. Perhaps him kissing her.
Is this how her time gone pass without him then she hated her life already. The day was ending finally and she walked to her car and sat inside it. She ignited the engine and drove towards the City Mall where she planned to meet Akhil. As she parked the car in the parking and was loosening her seat belt she felt the similar vision again.
“Don’t go please” she felt him covering her from back. He traced her neck and then her jaw with his sharp nose and she closed her eyes letting him invade her privacy.
She couldn’t speak as her mind was numb in his hold as he traced her neck and jawline now with wet kisses. Her eye brows knitted not able to define the arousing feelings as his grip tightened and he dragged her more close to himself and again she hit his hard chest.
She smiled when his teeth bit her earlobe and sent the shivers down her spine.
Again a loud noise hit her ear drums and she flapped opened her eyes. Hyperventilating again she grabbed the phone which was vibrating with a deafening ringtone.
“Where are you Ragzee?” she heard Akhil’s voice from the other side of the call. “Um. I’m in parking. I will be there in five minutes” she released herself from the seat belt and stepped out of her car. Locking it she turned and jerked finding someone standing near to her.
“Derek” she complained glaring him as her heart started gaining the steady speed and she stood straight. “You took a lot of time to come out of the car” he reasoned for his spooky action which always made her jump on her feet.
“The seat belt was stuck” she reasoned and her cheeks turned crimson remembering her dream. Derek walked away without responding.
She walked to the shops in the above floors where Akhil waited for her. “Finally. Ms. Busy is here” he said looking at Ragini. “I’m sorry Akhil. I was just..” her words stopped. “Sucking my lips” she felt his voice and looked around as her heart beat went wild.
“What?” Akhil asked confused. “N..nothing. Can we move?” she asked not willing to stay in a place and give space to her imagination to build again.

She collapsed on her bed utterly tired. Looking at her ceiling she played with the bead neck piece in her neck. She felt his lips on her neck and sat up jerked. As her gaze moved around she found no one.
“I hate him. I hate him. I hate him” she rubbed her neck and jaws and then her lips as if to erase the touch his lips left behind.
“Try doing that” she heard that cold voice which was mocking at her. “The ultimate truth is you love me and you will do it till the eternity” he walked in front of her.
Her blood froze and she went all blue as if the venom has spread all over her body. “Far is just near you” he sat beside her and looked into her eyes. Again those black cold orbit of his made her throat dry and lips to part. “Don’t tempt me now” he moved his thumb finger on her chin near her lower lip. She felt good. Her soul was at fire and she felt an urge to explode. “I want you” he whispered in her ear touching her jaw with his cold subtle and she clutched his shirt.
It wasn’t her imagination. He was really there. Sitting beside her whispering in her ear sensuously. She lifted her head a bit and his breath reached her neck.
“I’m home” she heard her mother’s voice and opened her closed eyes. Again the dream. She let out the heavy breath and tried relaxing her galloping heart.
