Dhruv Tara fame Riya Sharma talks about her bond with Ulka Gupta; says, “She is my boyfriend”
Riya Sharma who is garnering a lot of love for her role in the show Dhruv Tara has been working on polishing her Hindi lines, her personality as Tarapriya, and more. During a recent interview with ETimes TV the actress talked about her bond with Ulka Gupta.
She said, “Ulka is my boyfriend, she has become such an important part of my life. She came into my life when I needed a friend and a soul like her the most. She came into my life as a mediator who drives me to Krishna. This show actually changed my life. I was a Sai baba bhakt, and I still am. I believe Krishna took me in his arms through Ulka. She kept talking about Krishna all the time. The moment I started doing Dhruv Tara, Tara is a Krishna bhakt, so when I did the Raas, it all came out of Bhakti, it felt divine. Ulka has been a mediator and brought me closer to god. She is that person in my life.”
Talking about her upcoming project, Riya shared, “I would love anything which is challenging. As an actor, I want a role that makes me nervous. I want to pull that off, even if it is tricky, and negative, something that I haven’t done before. I want to break that image of doing innocent roles, I hope that gets broken with my negative character in my upcoming film.”
For the unversed, Riya and Ulka became friends on the sets of Banni Chow Home Delivery and there has been no looking back for them. The duo is often spotted together for dinner dates, cafe meetups, parties, and more.
