Life OK has launched the new show Ek Nayi Ummeed…Roshni which replaced Mahakumbh. Starring Pooja Gor, Sahil Anand, Divya Sethi, Amol Palekar, Raghuvir Yadav among others, Roshni portrays the tale of doctors who go on to break all regular laws and practices to help their patients. The show will also capture the angst of the common man against commercialization of the medical profession. Roshni has been set up and shot extensively in London. Life OK is all set to unveil the other side of the story with the launch of Ek Nayi Ummeed – Roshni. The show will aim to bring alive an inspiration and rekindle hope in the medical industry through the journey of Dr. Roshni, a benevolent and idealist girl, who believes that practicing medicine is a noble profession and should not be intruded upon by profit making agendas.
Dr. Roshni will be played by Pooja Gor, along with Inderjeet Sagoo as her brother, Dr. Rajat. After making an appearance on the silver screen, Sahil Anand will be seen portraying the character of a young and dynamic doctor, Nikhil Kapoor. Divya Seth will also play a prominent role of Dr. Vasundara, who is a top gynaecologist and obstetrician in Bhopal. She respects the right of a woman and empowers them. Dr. Vasundhara completely believes that the life of a woman is more important than that of a baby. Amol Palekar will be seen essaying the pivotal role of Roshni’s grandfather, Dr. A. K. Singh, a renowned doctor who stands for all that is right in this noble profession. Roshni believes that as a doctor her priority is to cure patients without bothering about any rules.
Ek Nayi Ummeed Roshni tracks the journey of Dr Roshni, who knows the value of life and therefore refuses to be bound by rules. Roshni, is a doctor by profession in London. She is eager to do her fellowship under Dr Raghunandan, a noted cardiac surgeon. Roshni’s grandfather, Dr AK Singh, helps her in investigating a patient’s case.
