Scene opens where the camera zooms in to a building and it says in the front of the building “Delhi Jail.” The screen moves inside the jail and it shows an cell in which an person’s back is facing the camera….the policeman comes outside the cell and says “tumse milne ganga rai aayi hai” (ganga rai has come to meet you) the person who’s back was facing the camera says “mujhe nahi milna koi ganga rai ko” (I don’t want to meet any ganga rai) policeman looks at ganga rai and she gestures through her eyes to leave…she will handle him…he moves out and she moves inside the cell…policeman stops and says ganga ji woh aapko marega toh? (What if he hits you?) She says Maine kaha na let us be…policeman nods and says okay…
She goes and gets a chair for herself…she says pani? The man still facing the other side says no….she says okay how about food? He says no I said na I don’t want to eat anything….she says please a little…the man gets mad and throws the plate in anger and says “maine kaha na I don’t want anything” policeman comes and says aye aise baat karte hai ganga ji se? (Is this how you speak to Ganga rai?) she says sir please let us be…I’ll handle him….policeman nods and goes back…ganga rai says look I am trying to help you get an bail but you…you keep making it harder for police to leave you…he says I don’t want a bail…I will stay here….ganga rai says I want to share your story with the world…please let me help you…I know you are not at fault…I can see it in you….the man says if you know I didn’t do anything, then why doesn’t she believe me? Ganga rai thought to herself who is this she he keeps talking about…for the last 2 years I have been coming here, but all he ever says is she? Who is this girl? I am sure that this girl has to do with his case….i need to extract more information about this girl so I can bail him….i need to stop him from getting hanged….
She comes out her thoughts and says I understand but I am trying to help you….you know for the last 2 years I have been coming here to bail you but you’re so stubborn….why don’t you want to get bailed? Why? And who is the girl you keep speaking of? She asks him all these questions but he says no word…he becomes silent….ganga rai says look I have only 5 more minutes…please if you tell me then I can help you…I want to know your story….i want to share it with the whole world….whenever I ask you about the girl you say nothing….please say something….please…..the man gets flashes of all his moments with the girl before the last 2 years about the girl and all their moments together….he slowly starts opening his mouth….he says she…she i..is….k…INTERUPTTED….policeman comes and says ma’am visiting time is over…she says hold on….yes say it who?
Saiyyam! Who is the girl? Policeman says ganga ji please it’s over….he will never say it and stop wasting your time and leave….she gets up to go but stops and says saiyyam I’ll be back tomorrow and I hope you tell me about the girl….she leaves and saiyyam is finally shown….his eyes are swollen red….it seems like he has been starving for 2 years with no food and no water…he is there physically but innerly he is somewhere else….he mutters very softly that maybe only he can hear and says “krishna”
SCREEN FREEZES ON SAIYYAM’S SWOLLEN FACE AND OTHER SCREEN SHOWS AN WOMEN IN AN DARK PINK WITH GREEN BORDER SARI…HER HAIR IS CURLED FROM THE BACK…HER HANDS HAVE MODERN JEWELRY…..
