Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim to Reunite On-Screen for TV Remake of Silsila

In a recent interview with a leading news portal, TV producer Sandiip Sikcand expressed his desire to cast Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim in a show inspired by the iconic movie ‘Silsila.’

Sandiip Sikcand revealed his intention to cast Dipika and Shoaib in a love story centered around a husband and wife, inspired by the film ‘Silsila,’ which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Rekha. He expressed enthusiasm about showcasing Dipika and Shoaib’s exceptional on-screen chemistry in this television remake.

Sandiip previously worked with Dipika on his show ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum,’ where Karan V Grover played the male lead.

With Sandiip’s latest hint, viewers can look forward to Dipika’s exciting return to television, potentially in a remake of ‘Silsila’ alongside her husband Shoaib.

Dipika Kakar gained fame for her role in the TV series ‘Sasural Simar Ka.’ She has been away from the screen for a while, last appearing in the 2019 series ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum,’ and is currently occupied with her mommy duties.

Shoaib Ibrahim began his career with ‘Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein’ and has appeared in various projects like ‘Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai’ and ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan.’ His latest appearances include being the first runner-up on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11’ and starring in the show ‘Ajooni.’

On the personal front, Dipika and Shoaib got married in February 2018 after several years of dating and welcomed their first child, Ruhaan, in June 2023. The couple has previously appeared together on ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Nach Baliye.’
