Dipika Kakar, who is going to become a mother soon, recently opened up about her longing for a happy home and family. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, she shared her experiences of growing up in a broken household.
Dipika expressed her love and gratitude towards her husband, Shoaib, and her in-laws, including her mother-in-law, father-in-law, and sister-in-law, Saba, for filling the void in her life. She acknowledged that her parents had done their best individually and she respects them for that. Despite the challenges, she now has a cordial relationship with them and stays in touch.
Growing up in a troubled family had a significant impact on Dipika’s life. She mentioned that different children react differently to such situations. Some may become depressed, aggressive, or introverted. As a child, Dipika felt scared and shy, which still affects her ability to make friends easily. She prefers to keep a small circle of friends and colleagues and is cautious about letting people into her personal space. Her childhood experiences fueled her desire for a happy home and a loving family filled with emotions and happiness.
Dipika credited her husband, Shoaib, and her in-laws for filling the emptiness in her life. They have provided her with the love, relationships, and happiness she longed for. Their presence has completed the void she felt, and she feels grateful for their support and affection.
