Divyanka Tripathi, widely recognized for her portrayal of Dr. Ishita Bhalla on the hit show “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein,” has captivated audiences with her exceptional performance. After taking a hiatus from television in search of a unique script, she returned with a thriller series, “Adrishyam,” where she plays a spy agent.
In a recent interview with ETimes TV, Divyanka expressed her views on creating a sequel to “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.” She believes the show has timeless appeal, attracting a new generation of viewers despite the abundance of contemporary content. “I see youngsters watching the show on digital platforms even now. It has great repeat value,” she said.
However, Divyanka emphasized that a remake would only succeed if it introduced a completely new storyline, different from the original six-year run. She also discussed the importance of social media, calling it essential rather than a distraction. According to her, social media bridges the gap between actors and fans, allowing for deeper connections both professionally and personally. “I feel more connected with my audience through social media,” she added.
Divyanka embraces social media as an integral part of her career, using it to promote her projects and maintain contact with her fans even on off days. “Being a bit of a workaholic, nothing hinders my work. Managing my social media presence happens naturally,” she explained.
