TV star Divyanka Tripathi has rallied behind her on-screen daughter, Aditi Bhatia, who recently opened up to BT about losing a significant project she had dedicated nearly a year to preparing for. Aditi disclosed that she missed out on the opportunity because the project’s makers preferred casting someone from their own family.
In a candid conversation with BT, Aditi Bhatia, known for her role as Ruhi Bhalla in “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein,” shared her disappointment, stating, “I was one of those who thought that the nepotism debate lacked substance, and talent superseded everything else. I still hold on to that belief, but I came very close to tasting it.”
Expressing support and encouragement, Divyanka Tripathi conveyed her best wishes to Aditi, urging her not to lose hope and to persist in her efforts. Divyanka believes that Aditi will soon secure a role deserving of her talent. In response to Aditi’s Instagram post, Divyanka commented, “Tumhara time definitely aayega! They can’t resist you for long!”

Aditi, speaking to BT, emphasized her desire for equal opportunities in auditions for various projects. She revealed that she was replaced in a major movie project despite spending a significant amount of time preparing for it. Aditi, who was in the US during the lockdown after wrapping up “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein,” faced setbacks upon her return as she lost out on the project due to the makers’ preference for a family member.
Aditi shared, “After I returned, I was determined to transition into films. I was in talks for a big project and spent one-and-a-half years preparing. Unfortunately, it didn’t materialize because the makers opted to cast someone from their family. I am sure they had their reasons, but it was disheartening as I’d invested a lot of time into the project.”
Despite her initial belief that the nepotism debate lacked substance, Aditi acknowledged that she had come close to experiencing it firsthand. Fans flooded the comment section with messages of support, encouraging Aditi to persevere and assuring her that she will find the right project.
