Speculations abound regarding the makers of “Diya Aur Baati Hum” gearing up for a much-anticipated second season, reportedly having finalized lead actors and essential cast members. The upcoming show will focus on the life of a female IAS officer, following the successful run of its first season headlined by Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid, which concluded in 2016 after a five-year run. The previous sequel, “Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji,” centered around actors Rhea Sharma and Avinesh Rekhi.
Inquisitive about the second season, BT reached out to Neelu Vaghela, known for her portrayal of Bhabho in “Diya Aur Baati Hum.” Expressing her thoughts, she stated, “I am pleased that the makers have planned a second season. Undoubtedly, they must have conceived something creative and innovative for this new venture. While I was part of the sequel, it’s possible that the makers didn’t have a compelling role for me in the second season. Introducing a previous cast member into a fresh storyline might revisit the past, so perhaps a new cast brings a different outlook. My best wishes go out to the show.”
Regarding her current projects, Neelu shared details about her forthcoming negative role in “Mera Balam Thanedaar,” emphasizing the refreshing change this character offers her. Her portrayal of Bhabho in “Diya Aur Baati Hum” had earned her significant popularity, marking a new chapter in her acting career.
