Star Bharat’s Nimki Vidhayak brought the track of Nimki and Mintu Singh’s love story. Mintu’s resemblance with Nimki’s former husband Babbu Singh has an advantage and disadvantage as well. The advantage being that he came into Nimki’s notice so soon, just because of his face. The disadvantage is more affecting, since Babbu was a criminal-minded guy. Mintu fails to win Nimki’s trust soon. Nimki gets scared of him at first. She fears that Babbu has come back in her life. She was madly in love with Babbu, until she realized his evil truth.
Nimki doesn’t want to fall in love again, that too with a person who looks like Babbu Singh. Nimki gets affected by Mintu’s presence. Mintu proves to be a ideal man, who is genuinely loving and caring. Mintu respects Nimki. He doesn’t think they can be a couple ever, since she is a Vidhayak. Mintu senses a responsibility to protect her. He gradually learns about Babbu Singh. It will be dramatic when Nimki and Babbu’s bitter past opens up in front of Mintu. The lookalike factor really worked for developing a fresh love story. Do you like Nimki-Mintu pairing in Nimki Vidhayak? Let us know your opinion.

Your introduction is wrong. Babbu was initially only arrogant, egoist, and short tempered. He didn’t even know Nimki, forget about loving her. Nimki loved him only for his status and riches. He was forced to marry her, but never accepted her as his wife, and his abhorrence increased when she declined him her power and status as mukhiya. He then wanted to divorce her. Nimki reacted in criminal ways – forging elections, making Babbu’s sister elope and this attack the prestige of Babbu’s family. Also, Nimki, who was already per-marital, became increasingly extra marital. Thus, it was and is Nimki who is criminal minded. She kept humiliating and provoking Babu, and made h a criminal too. She finally got her husband killed. Therefore, Babu or his look-alike Mintu are not the point of consideration. The point of consideration, or voting, is does the audience accept this sinner and criminal Nimki as a protagonist, be it be paired opposite any male, Babbu, Minty or any one else? The answer is a big NO. So what’s the solution? You either close the serial, or you eliminate Nimki, or relegate Nimki, and let the heroine’s role be taken by some one else.
Rani, I agree with you, but I want to add another solution. If Nimki realizes that she too was not fair to her husband Babbu, and that she tortured him much more than he did, and that she got him killed, and repents for it, then both pairs, Nimki-Babbu or Nimki-Mintu can work out. In this case, a repentance track of about a week has to be shown.
Your poll point is wrongly framed. Neither Babbu nor Mintu is the problem in making pair with Nimki. The problem is Nimki herself.
Nimki didn’t love Babbu. A true lover will ensure no harm to her lover, even if the lover does not love her back. If it doesn’t work, she would quietly get aside. But Nimki discarded divorce option, and chose to kill Babbu and destroy his family. Also, Babbu was not a criminal, he was made a criminal by Nimki. If this is Nimki’s love, what would be her hate? No Sir, we don’t like Nimki in any love pair. Replace Nimki if you can, close th serial other wise.
Who would like to romance Nimki, Nimki Mukhiya, Nimki Vidhayak, or even Nimki PM (forget marrying her)? She only wants to take, never give (ask her younger sister Mahua, who has been cooking for Nimki and sleeping on the floor while Nimki slept on palang), she would use you, your power, status and riches, but not share hers with you, she would command and you would obey, she would be extra marital but you dare not speak, she would be ambitious to be MLA or minister but you dare not. If don’t abide, she would kill you, the way she killed her husband Babbu. The problem is not Nimki-Mintu pair, the problem is Nimki herself. So change the question if you want meaningful voting. Better still, stop the serial
Hello Amena and TellyUpdates, we are still waiting at your poll booth to vote. Are you changing the poll prelude and question? Please respond.
Nimki doesn’t deserve to be loved or to be married because she would destroy her lover or husband. Let her remain un-paired, un-loved, and unmarried. Sack Nimki out of your serial, better still, close the serial.
TellyUpdates, we are still waiting at your poll booth to vote.
Now Nimki herself has implicitly accepted that she killed her husband Babu (episodes 30 Sep and 1 Oct). Remember, Babu had as much rights to aspire for MLA as Nimki had, and as much rights to defend himself against being used or using others as Nimki had in this game. So does Nimki have any justification for killing her husband Babbu? Despite all murder is murder, and Nimki is the murderer. So how can you make the love pair Nimki-Babu or even Nimki-Month? It is unconvincing and immoral. See, Nimki is going to start the affair by using Month for herself (Anaro), as she used Babu. Nimki is a vamp, and hence disqualified, unless she repents and reforms. Else, drop Nimki or close the serial. Voters, please vote against the motion.
I agree. I want to vote against Nimki, but not against Mintu or Babbu. So how do I vote?
TellyUpdates, please answer XYX. XYZ, please wait for answer, else, boycott the serial.
Me and many others are abstaining from voting because we don’t like Nimki in any romance pair, be it with Mintu or Babbu or any one else. Nimki is too power hungry, self-centered, and ambitious beyond her capabilities to have a happy love-life or a happy married life. This is the story of all women politicians like Nimki, e.g., Indira Gandhi, Jay Lalitha, Mamta, Mayawati, and back home in our serial our great Ganga Devi. More importantly, Nimki’s past and even her present character, behavior and attitude prick like thorns in the viewer’s flesh when they visualize her in any romantic scene because they understand that her love is selfish and superficial and they anticipate that the moment her lover either does not obey her command or he is no longer useful to her then she would drop her like a lump of shit, and quite certainly, she may even kill him and ruin his family. We feel that your question should be “Should we retain Nimki as heroine in the serial or should we drop/side-line her, and develop the story around any other person as the heroine?” Your current poll results are meaningless. We are abstaining from voting, but still waiting at your poll booth to vote with the modified question.
The bliss of love and married life is not meant even for Indira, Maya, Mamta, Vasundhra, Jaya, or Ganga Devi. Then who is Nimki? That pre-marital, extra-marital, selfish, ill-mannered, ruthless, despotic and cunning Nimki? That wretched woman Nimki who thinks she is always right, and others are always wrong? That Nimki who always blamed her husband Babbu and used him as a punching bag, and as a stepping stone to enhance her career? That unfaithful wife Nimki who betrayed and tortured her husband Babbu? That power and status hungry Nimki? That criminal Nimki who forges and manipulates elections? That sinner, that murderer Nimki who treacherously murdered her husband Babbu? That Nimki who used the sympathy wave arising out of the death of her husband Babbu to win election of an MLA, whom she herself had murdered? Nimki cannot be allowed a love-life or a happy married life. Love is too precious, too tender, and too sublime a bliss to bless this b*t*h Nimki. Throw her out of the serial, or close the serial
How true! I totally agree with you Radhika, well said – love is too precious, too tender, and too sublime a bliss to bless this b*t*h Nimki with. I humbly request the voters to vote ‘No’.
Pristine love or wedded love cannot go together with power and politics in India (may be elsewhere also) either for men or for women. Nimki chose ‘Mukhiyagiri’ over ‘Grihasti’, MLA-post over her husband, and power-politics over love and marriage. She cannot have a cake and eat it too. Let her languish in politics. Please vote her out of love, romance or marriage. Vote NO!
Nimki, along with her extra marital partners Abhimanyu and Tunne, and accomplice Sweetie, has eroded the institution of marriage and wedded love, and shamed womanhood. Deny her love and romance, and punish her by voting NO.
Not only womanhood, Nimki has also shamed widowhood. She is still the widow of Babbu Singh legally and religiously, until she remarries or notifies it legally otherwise. Even humanity demands that we respect the dead and pray for his/her soul to RIP. But Nimki keeps accusing and cursing Babbu, even when he is not on fault, and when he is not alive to defend himself. Worse, she keeps comparing him with his look-alike Mintu. Babbu cannot RIP. So vote NO
