Dollar Biwi (Two Shot on RiHaan- Part 1)

Riddhima locked herself in the bathroom.

She couldn’t handle any more of Vihaan’s flirtious talks and decided to take a shower to calm her nerves.

She massaged her head and felt relaxed , the warm water was doing its work on her body.

Suddenly, something struck her.

Her clothes… She had forgotten them on the bed.

She closed her eyes in frustration.

Now, why on earth did she keep them on the bed in the first place?

“Couldn’t they install a wardrobe in here? But then, how would they put me into problems, right?”

She was busy cursing her fate when a knock broke her trance.

She could see a tall figure standing at the door from the translucent glass.

“Dollar biwi, tum apne kapde bahar bhool gayi thi.”, he spoke with his usual flirtish lilt.

“A.. Acha.”, she replied while wrapping herself with a towel.

Taking baby steps, she walked towards the door.

She slid the door slightly, open enough for her hand to reach out.

Her breath hitched the moment she felt a warm touch on her cold body, the warmth she was craving for.

But it went away in a flash, to her utter dismay.

She was supposed to close the door once she had grabbed the clothes, but her mischievous brain had other plans.

After suppressing the blabbering of her consciece, she peeped out, only to find him standing innocently, with closed eyes.

Feeling her gaze at him, his lips curved up in a smirk.

“Dollar biwi, taadna free of cost hai. Par..filhal ye kapde le lo, main kahin bhaaga thodi na ja rha hoon.”, he spoke mischievously, his eyes still shut.

“T.. Tumhe kaise pata?”

“Pretty, aisi bhot si cheezen hain jo mujhe pata hain, aur jo aapki samajh se bahar hain.”

Embarassed at her own self, she hurriedly shut the door.

……….

Riddhima was busy arranging the messed up dressing when her gaze fell at a gift-wrapped box.

Sitting on the bed, she opened it and found a white net dress with a note.

“Hey, pretty! Now that you’ve finally opened my gift, I want you to wear this dress and meet me in the garden at 8 p.m. I’ll wait for you near the gazebo. Don’t ignore it or you’ll miss my grand surprise and you shall never be able to know the secret, that I’m going to tell you, tonight.
Aur haan, blush lagane ki zaroorat nhi hai, tumhare gaal vaise hi gusse se laal rehte hain.

~Tumhara not-so pyaara Pati 😉”

“Aisa kaunsa raaz hai jo ye mujhe batana chahta hai…”

She peeked at the wall-clock. It was
7.30 p. m. Shrugging off her thoughts, she quickly got ready and reached the garden on time.

Her eyes were searching for him but he was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, she felt someone’s hands snaking round her waist.

“Vihaan…”, she gasped at his touch, which sent burning sensations throughout her body.

“Welcome, dollar biwi. Manna padega, jitna maine socha tha, iss dress mein tum usse bhi zyada hot lag rahi ho.”, he whispered in her ear and blindfolded her.

“Ye kis liye?”, she tried to protest.

“Shh…Sabar karo my impatient wifey. Varna surprise ka mazaa kaise ayega? Vaise bhi sabar ka fal meetha hota hai, you know.”

Defeated, she let out a sigh and rolled her eyes from beneath the cloth.

“Whom does this perfume remind you of?”, he asked, after spraying the Versace perfume near her nose.

She inhaled the scent and recognized it. It was his scent.

“Vansh…”, she replied.

Then he made her wear the jewellery and fed her meethi bhaat and asked her again. The moments she spent with Vansh flashed before her.

To every question, her answer was the same – Vansh. Her Vansh.

He opened her blindfold and gestured to choose one of his closed fists. She chose the right one, which had a rose.

He opened his other fist, revealing another rose that looked alike.

Holding one rose in either hands, he asked, “What do you see, Riddhima?”

“Roses.”, she answered, matter-of-factly.

“Yes, roses, I get it. But what else do you see in common?”, he said in a calm yet irritated tone.

She huffed in annoyance while he tucked the flower near her ear.

“They’re…similar?”, she replied, not certain of her answer.

“Exactly! And if I replace this rose…”, he removed the rose and placed the other one in it’s place and continued, “With the other one, does it make any difference?”

“No! What do you want to say, Vihaan? Stop beating around the bush and come straight to the point.”

“Calm down, angry patni. Take a chill pill. Gussa sehat ke liye hanikarak hota hai, you know.”, he winked at her.

Turning away, he spoke, “Vansh and I are just like these roses. We both look alike and thus, switch places whenever there is a danger on his life.”

“That means you switched places after our marriage too?”

“Yes…”

“How many times?”, she raised her eyebrows at him.

“Many. I never counted.”

He replied, leaving her dumbstruck.

She had been living with a stranger! And god forbid, what if he was there in Vansh’s place when they shared intimate moments with each-other?

The mere thought was making her feel disgusted at her own self. Without waiting for him to say anything else, she abruptly ran into her room while he followed her upstairs.
