Dolly Sohi’s Brave Battle Against Cervical Cancer

Dolly Sohi, renowned for her role in the TV show Bhabhi, has recently been confronting a challenging journey after being diagnosed with cervical cancer two months ago. Despite the difficulties, the actress remains determined to maintain a positive outlook.

In a recent update, Dolly shared, “Three months ago, I began experiencing persistent back pain that didn’t subside even with painkillers. Subsequently, doctors diagnosed cancer, and the treatment is underway. I’ve completed two rounds of chemotherapy, with the next one scheduled for December, followed by surgery. I anticipate feeling better in the coming months. It’s crucial for women to undergo regular check-ups. There’s a cervical cancer vaccine available for young girls, and I encourage them to consider it after consulting their doctors. Awareness on this matter is essential.”

Reflecting on her journey, Dolly expressed, “When I first heard about it, I was shaken. I wondered how something like this could happen, what went wrong. However, I gradually accepted reality and found strength within. I made a promise to myself that I will fight through this and bounce back. While my mother and daughter were understandably worried, I reassured them that this is a curable condition. The support from my family and the love from those around me have been overwhelming, and I am truly grateful for it.”

Currently part of the TV show Jhanak, Dolly commended the supportive environment on the set. She stated, “Everyone on the set has been incredibly supportive. I continue to shoot for the show, and they grant me time off whenever needed for my treatment. Engaging in work has been a source of solace and has contributed to my overall well-being.”
