Scene 1
Bai and Vikram are waiting for Durga to come back. Rajesh says they found her and are bringing her back. Anurag is coming back too. Bai says its good that they were able to separate them. She tells Vikram that he should get Anurag married too soon. I am worried as Durga’s mother came here some days ago. Vikram says someone is trying to target me but even if I have to kill then I will. If someone asks for their daughter back then we will be exposed, I will lose my power over villagers which I can’t let it happen.
Durga comes back to the palace, Rajesh glares at her. Vikram says how many times will you insult us? Durga says I will do as you say, she asks them to complete the wedding. Anurag comes there and goes to his room. Vikram asks where did you go with my son? Durga says he was saying that I won’t be able to complete my education after the wedding so he wanted me to run away but I told him that I want to do this marriage. Rajesh tells her to shut up, I don’t trust your words at all. Bai says don’t be angry at her, she won’t do this again. She asks Durga to get ready for the wedding. Durga leaves from there.
Durga and Rajesh restart the wedding. They exchange garlands. Anurag sees that and cries silently. Durga sadly looks at him but then looks away. Durga takes pheras with Rajesh. He applies sindoor to her, Durga cries silently as he makes her wear mangalsutra. Anurag tells Anubhav that he wants to see the light. Anubhav says you tried your best. Anurag says I wanted to run away with her. He says its not easy to run away, Vikram wouldn’t let it happen. Anurag says I am not scared of my truth but Durga broke me, she wanted to be with him. I will never see her face again. Anubhav says she didn’t want this, we can never understand women. I can see her pain. Anurag sees Rajesh dancing with her and says she wanted to marry him all along. Anubhav says they would have killed her if she ran away with you. Anurag says I can’t see this, he looks away and cries.
