Durga approaches Suhani to talk, but Suhani interrupts her with sarcasm, asking if Durga plans to give her a lecture. Durga calmly replies that if Suhani thinks calling her a maid is an insult, she’s mistaken because she works hard, unlike some people who do nothing. Suhani fires back, saying she would love to hire Durga as her personal
maid and asks how much she would charge.
Durga confidently responds that they can discuss this later, once she becomes the Rathore family’s daughter-in-law. Suhani insists that it’s better to talk about it now. Durga boldly states that she wouldn’t charge anything because she is going to be Anurag’s wife. Suhani, taken aback, questions Durga about her closeness with Anurag. Durga explains that she was raised in the Rathore household and shares a good relationship with everyone there.
Suhani warns Durga to behave properly, threatening that she could be thrown out of the house. Durga firmly responds that no one can throw her out and warns Suhani that if Vikram tries, he will have to face the consequences. Frustrated, Suhani decides to teach Durga a lesson later.
Suhani and her family arrive at the Rathore mansion. Her father, Mittal, greets Vikram warmly. Meanwhile, Indira instructs Durga to wash Suhani’s family’s feet as part of their traditional welcome ritual.
As Durga washes Suhani’s feet, Suhani sneakily takes a picture of her. Mittal engages in conversation with Vikram’s family and asks Suhani to seek blessings. Aarthi instructs Suhani to take Savitri’s blessings first, and Suhani complies. Mittal then inquires about Anurag. Aarthi informs him that Anurag is in his room and will come downstairs when the Shagun ceremony begins.
In his room, Anubhav helps Anurag get ready. He tells Anurag that marriage is a good decision and suggests that it will allow Durga to move on with her life. Anurag, however, admits that he agreed to the marriage only because Vikram gave him an ultimatum: if he refused, Durga’s education would be stopped. He explains that he is accepting this situation as a defeat, purely for Durga’s sake.
While waiting, Suhani’s mother asks Vikram if Durga is their maid. Vikram denies it, clarifying that Durga only helps out in the house. He explains that they raised Durga and supported her education, adding that she belongs to a tribal community. Mittal praises this, mentioning that he has also fought for women’s education in the past. He then brings up the topic of the wedding date. Vikram tells him that they can proceed with the wedding whenever they are ready.
Mittal notes that Anurag hasn’t arrived yet. Panibai turns to Durga and asks her to call Anurag. Durga quietly agrees and heads to bring him downstairs.
